Niantic has just announced that Pokemon GO will be getting special new forms of some Kanto-region Pokemon. First seen in Pokemon Sun and Moon, Alolan forms of Pokemon like Raichu and Meowth will soon start showing in the game.

Although Niantic did not reveal all the details, some confirmed Pokemon that will be getting the Alolan form are shown in the silhouettes. It’s surprising to see that Pokemon GO has skipped some Generation and immediately jumped to Alolan forms. Pokemon GO players are still waiting for the release of the Generation 4 Pokemon to catch and evolve some of the strong Pokemon from Generation 3.
Anytime from now, don’t be surprised if you spotted some beautiful haired Dugtrio wondering in the wild. Here are some of the expected Alolan forms that you will be encountering soon.
