This year marks the beginning of the cross-play feature between PS4 and Xbox One. Apart from Fortnite, it seems like the upcoming BioWare’s Anthem game set to release next year may also add the cross-play feature after its official release.
As suggested by Mark Darrah, the executive producer of Anthem, the cross-play feature may come to the game. However, Darrah confirmed that it will not be available during its launch.
One of the fans on Twitter asked Mark Darrah if PS4, Xbox, and PC players will be able to play Anthem with each other. Interestingly, Darrah replied that it will not be available at launch, hinting that there’s a plan to add this feature in the future.

During the previous interviews, Bioware also confirmed that they are open to adding new features depending on the needs of players. Knowing that cross-play feature is one of a must feature for online games right now, it’s not surprising if we see it on the next few updates once the game is released.
We’re just two months away before Anthem releases, and while players wait for its launch, BioWare has previously announced that there will be a closed beta of the game. Giving the opportunity to fans to early access the game and report any issues that they’re about to encounter.
Anthem is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 22, 2019.
