Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 147 Recap
Episode 147 starts with a surprise attack by Tsukiyo towards Team 7 and Kokuri. It was the first that that Boruto saw Tsukiyo. Sarada shares some of the details of the enemy, including of how strong he was inside the Mujina Gang.
Tsukiyo shows off his power by attacking Mitsuki. They were surprised upon seeing him using a shadow jutsu. Tsukiyo eventually released Mitsuki and revealed that it was a Shadow Moon Jutsu, which power-ups during a full moon. The enemy demonstrates his power again by controlling Team 7’s shadows.
The shadows attacked Boruto and the others, and surprisingly, the shadows can fight evenly and also uses their elemental techniques. Team 7 and Kokuri are now cornered when Tsukiyo attacked them. Mitsuki’s shadow grabbed Kokuri on his neck, but Mitsuki himself stopped it.
Team 7 is now in a tough situation fighting their shadows. The shadows tried to attack Kokuri again, but thanks to Boruto, who responded immediately to save him. Boruto asked Kokuri to ran and escape, which he did. But before leaving, Kokuri gave a book to Boruto, where he documented everything that he knew about the boss of the gang.
Meanwhile, two guards of the castle found Benga lying on the ground and alerted the others about the situation. The guards lit up the spotlight to find the prisoners, and during this time, Kokuri noticed something unusual about the shadows fighting the ninjas.
Kokuri shared what he found to Boruto and the others and commenced a plan, which works right away. Team 7 combined their moves that pushed Tsukiyo to the cliff. Thinking that they defeated the enemy, they lowered their guard. Tsukiyo got up and pulled Kokuri to the cliff. Unluckily, Tsukiyo falls to the sea.
Later on, the backup led by Sai arrives and brings back Boruto and the others to the village where they meet their friends. Kokuri, on the other hand, was also freed from the prison.
Just before the episode ends, it was revealed that the Kokuri that was freed was an enemy who disguised as Kokuri after killing him under the sea. It turns out that it was Shojoji, the leader of Mujina Bandits, who also disguised himself as Tsukiyo to hide his identity.
