One of the hottest anime and game of all time is Yu-Gi-Oh! It’s a strategy game where you have to use your card to fight against your opponent.
If you’re a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan, I’m sure you also want to play the game in VR mode. Unfortunately, developers are not yet doing it. Fortunately, we have some geeky Yu-Gi-Oh! fans who tried their best to bring us the Yu-Gi-Oh! VR game to reality.
Over on YouTube, Joseph Min shared a video of his Yu-Gi-Oh! VR game project that he’s been working on. According to Min, the game is still in its early stages but he already allows his fans to have a peek inside the virtual world of Duel Monsters.
The gameplay video he uploaded shows a tutorial duel against Seto Kaiba. The game is first-person and it includes some interactive levels to its Duel Disk. After pulling a card from the deck, the player must flip the cards correctly to put them in action, and the VR technology does the animation when the player successfully do its job.
In addition to the details, Min said that he’s working on the Yu-Gi-Oh! VR game just for fan, and stated that he already spend more than 100 hours building the game. As of now, the title hasn’t gotten any approval from Yu-Gi-Oh! developer Konami, so there’s a chance that the game can move forward under any official developers.
