Looking Back at the Pokemon Super Bowl Commercial 2016

It’s been two years since the Pokemon franchise started climbing back into the spotlight of the gaming industry.

Two years ago, Nintendo and the Pokemon Company released its own version of Super Bowl commercial as part of the celebration of the 20th Pokemon franchise anniversary.

The Pokemon video commercial started with a boy who strived for greatness after watching a Pokemon battle in the street. The kid’s action chained up to a series of men and women who were also an inspiration to several people. Before the commercial ends, a young man walks down the aisle of a stadium to compete in a Pokemon battle competition. He was being watched by thousands of people in the arena and televisions

The interesting part of that Super Bowl commercial is that it didn’t promote any specific Pokemon related product. The main purpose of the Pokemon commercial is to inspire players to keep on training, even though the Pokemon franchise is about to launch a year-long Mythical celebration.

Now that it is about time for the Super Bowl 2018, the Pokemon Company is not expected to release any Pokemon related commercial or advertisement. However, we could see some other gaming companies to promote their upcoming game during the event.
