Due to the current matchmaking issues that players are facing right now, Epic Games has announced that Fortnitemares event has been temporarily disabled.
The announcement was made on their official Twitter account. “We have disabled Fortnitemares in Battle Royale while we investigate issues with matchmaking,” Epic Games wrote.

According to the Epic Games Publis Status, Fortnite’s matchmaking is currently experiencing “Degraded Performance.” A note was also shown that players are experience long queue times than usual. And exactly on 12:44 UTC, Epic Games officially disabled Fortnitemares in Battle Royale.
As of writing, it is still not known what is the source that caused the issues in Fortnitemares. But Epic assured that they are currently working to resolve the issue and resume the Fortnitemares Halloween event.
