It’s been five years since the last Splinter Cell came out. While fans are patiently waiting for a new Splinter Cell game, Ubisoft has been continuously teasing a new game over the last year. Unfortunately, we still haven’t heard any official announcement about the new Splinter Cell. However, it seems like we’re about to get something new at The Game Awards 2018.
Earlier today, The Game Awards founder, host, and producer, Geoff Keighley, has shared a video on his Twitter account showing some of the newly released game this year, alongside with the upcoming games such as The Last of Us Part II, Death Stranding, and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
Every year I really enjoy the creative process of personally editing a teaser/hype video for #TheGameAwards. Here's what I put together this year. It's not meant to tease, just celebrate how much this industry means to me. Hope you'll join us Thursday as we walk between worlds. pic.twitter.com/BaQ9aQT1pR

What’s interesting in the video is the appearance of Sam Fisher. The scene came from the previously released trailer of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Keighley clarified that the video was not supposed to tease anything, but many fans believe that something is going on with Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell.
While no announcement has been made yet, there is a chance that we might see Ubisoft along with their new announcement at The Game Awards 2018 on December 6, 2018.
