While the post did not mention anything about a new Pokemon, the community is quick and suggests that the message of the post is to tease fans for a new Pokemon release.
Currently, Niantic is yet to release more details about Professor Willow’s discovery but the Pokemon GO community seems to already know what Pokemon is coming out. Analyzing the cryptic message, it looks like that Rotom may be released in the game soon.
Rotom is an Electric/Ghost-type Pokemon introduced in Generation IV. Currently, Rotom’s evolution is still unknown but it has the ability to obtain the characteristics of certain appliances and other electronic devices and change forms.
For example, if Rotom did not possess any appliance, it will remain to its original type which is Electric/Ghost-type. But if it possesses a microwave oven, it will turn into a Heat Rotom and is now Electric/Fire-type Pokemon.
Rotom’s recent appearance can be seen in Pokemon Sun and Moon, especially during the announcement of Ash Ketchum as the Alola Pokemon League Champion.
