Pokemon GO Releases The Legendary Ho-Oh and Its Shiny Form

Niantic never fails to surprise its users in Pokemon GO. As we all know, the 5th Community Day featuring Charmander has already started, and earlier today, Niantic announced that another Legendary Pokemon will return in the game.

According to Niantic, the Legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh will return to Raid Battles on May 19th. That’s the same day as the Charmander Community Day. Similar to the release before, Ho-Oh will start appearing in Gyms alongside Latios and Latias, which will remain in their current designated regions.

In addition, if you are lucky enough, you will also get a chance to encounter and catch the Shiny Ho-Oh after you successfully win the battle. The Legendary Ho-Oh will be available starting on May 19th until June 7th. That’s a quite long period for you to catch Ho-Oh before it flies back to the skies.

Here’s the official announcement for this release:

Get ready for a surprise: The Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh will return to Raid Battles in Pokémon GO on May 19! A powerful Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region, the Rainbow Pokémon Ho-Oh will appear in Gyms across the globe alongside Latias and Latios, which will remain in their designated regions. Plus, if you’re fortunate, you might be able to encounter a Shiny Ho-Oh after you win the battle! You can challenge Ho-Oh until June 7 and seize the opportunity to add this Legendary Pokémon to your Pokédex. So, gather your strongest party to take on Ho-Oh before it returns to the skies!

That’s all for now trainers. Enjoy catching the Shiny Ho-Oh and Shiny Charmander!
