Pokemon GO

Niantic has announced that starting on August 2020, their AR mobile game Pokemon GO will no longer support Android devices running on 32-bit architecture.

While the Pokemon GO developer is doing some adjustments to cope with the on-going virus outbreak around the world, it seems that old Android devices have been affected by these updates. In an announcement, Niantic stated that they will be stopping the support for 32-bit Android phones. This only means that if you’re currently playing Pokemon GO on 32-bit architecture Android devices, you will no longer be able to play it in August.

This move by the developer isn’t surprising at all. Knowing that the game is developing, the improvements that are required are also getting more demanding. In case you don’t know if your device is 32-bit, you might want to download this app called 64Bit Checker that will allow you to determine if you’re running on 64-bit architecture.

If you don’t want to download anything from Google Play Store, we have already compiled some of the affected devices. Below is the list of Android phones with 32-bit architecture.
