A few days ago, PS4 users have reported a new bug which involves the message feature on the console that when opened, it crashes the PS4 system. And as a result, users need to reset their console just to use it again.
Following the series of reports, Sony has acknowledged the viral PS4 message bug and confirmed that they are already working to resolve the new PS4 glitch.
“We are aware of the situation and are planning a system software update to resolve this problem,” Sony said. No additional details about the bug have been revealed yet, but it’s a good thing that Sony is already making a way to resolve the issue.
Actually, the new PS4 message bug can easily be avoided by simply not opening the message and deleting it immediately using the PlayStation messaging app on iOS or Android. The glitch only activates when a user opened a message which contains unknown and suspicious characters.
We still don’t have the information about the PS4 message bug, no one knows if the glitch is a result of a cyber attack. So while no new updates have been officially released, we recommend you to temporarily disable messaging feature in your account.
