Vinland Saga Season 2 Release Date

Vinland Saga

For fans who are excited to watch Vinland Saga Episode 25, it’s unfortunate to say that currently, there are still no words from the creators. However, there’s a chance that Vinland Saga Season 2 will be announced soon as suggested by the well-known anime news leaker named Spytrue.

While Spytrue claims that the second season is already in the timeline, he is claiming that it won’t be out in 2020, which is bad news for the anime fans. But what could be the reason why the creators are delaying its release?

Again, there is still no official announcement from the creators, so we suggest to take this news and speculations lightly. As for the reason why the anime will be pushed to 2021 or later is because the creator, WIT Studio, is already working on some anime such as Vampire in the Garden which is set to release on Netflix. There are still numbers of new anime that the studio will be creating and that is the main reason we see why the Vinland Saga Season 2 will be a bit delayed.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Plot

Vinland Saga

The last and final episode of Vinland Saga Season 1 marks the death of Askeladd, who killed King Sweyn. Due to his death, Thorfinn turned his back to Prince Canute which is the reason why he’s been sold as a slave.

Thorfinn found himself on a farm where he works for his freedom. During that time, a new character will be introduced to him. The story will progress with Thorfinn finding and discovering what he really wants in life since Askeladd is gone.

King Canute, on the other hand, wants to build a place for the Vikings, but he’s been facing financial issues to support his cause. Because of this, King Canute planned to seize the farmland where Thorfinn is working. Canute plotted an event that forces the farmland owner to become an outlaw.

King Canute attacked the farmland with his soldiers while Ketil tried to resist the King’s might by recruiting some warriors who owe him. But unfortunately, his force is not enough against King Canute. Because of Ketil’s defeat, Thorfinn and the other slaves regain their freedom. Thorfinn owes his freedom to King Canute, which is why he chooses to stay in Denmark.
