Rumor: Cloud Will Be Redesigned In Final Fantasy VII Remake

To keep Final Fantasy VII in the line with the original game series, the development team has been reportedly redesigning Cloud Strife’s appearance to make it look like the original 1997 game release.

As reported by Siliconera, fans who attended the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary event managed to see a new batch of screenshots from the upcoming FF VII remake along with the surprise appearance by Tetsuya Nomura, Square Enix Designer and Director.

Interestingly, the new screenshots include the new design for Cloud Strife. The new design has been commended by Namura where he said that they need to restore the closest look of Cloud back to its original design.

Although there aren’t any screenshot for us to look at, one lucky fan said that the new Cloud design has a lot more natural look. Final Fantasy VII Remake is still under development for PlayStation 4 and still no release date yet.
