Niantic Released The Legendary Kyogre In Pokemon GO

The Legendary Kyogre finally made its way to Pokemon GO. Kyogre is a water-type Legendary Pokemon from the Hoenn Region. As announced, this Legendary Pokemon will be available in Raid Battles around the world starting today, January 12, until February 14 at 1:00 PM PT.

Kyogre’s First Appearance

In Pokemon GO, this is the first time that Kyogre appears. But on the other Pokemon games, Kyogre already appeared several times. However, Kyogre first appeared in the Pokemon game, Pokemon Sapphire which is available in Game Boy Advance way back 2003.

Kyogre was in fact the cover of the game that time, where the Pokemon Ruby was also released, accompanied by Groudon as the star cover. Groudon was first seen in Pokemon GO last December 2017 along with the other Legendary Pokemon during the initial release of the Generation III Pokemon.

Unlike the EX Raid that requires an EX Raid Pass, battling Kyogre is similar to the other Raid Battles. Pokemon GO players won’t need any special invitation in order to battle and capture Kyogre.
