One of the most unexpected reveals in the Wano Country Arc in One Piece is Kanjuro’s betrayal. However, it seems that it was not the end of betrayal in this arc as the latest One Piece Chapter 985 spoilers suggest another betrayal. But this time, it’s way more unexpected as it involves Yonko Kaido and Shogun Orochi.
One Piece Chapter 985 Spoilers and Raw Scans
According to the leaked spoilers on Reddit, the upcoming One Piece Chapter 985 titled “New Onigashima Project” will be featuring an unexpected betrayal between Kaido and Orochi.
Luffy was still with Yamato. Kaido’s daughter revealed that she was handcuffed since she was eight years old. Yamato stated that she knows Luffy is Ace’s brother and revealed that she’s been waiting for him and planned to get on his ship just like what Oden did in the past.
However, Yamato was unable to board on Ace’s ship due to the shackles that her father put into her. Luffy then asked Yamato if it’s okay to beat Kaido. Yamato said that she already fought Kaido many times but she was beaten. As they continue their conversation, Luffy offered to remove the handcuff on Yamato’s wrist but Kaido’s voice suddenly popped out.
According to the broadcast, Kaido also revealed that he wants to start the greatest war, aiming to destroy the peace around the world. The Yonko also said that the main purpose of the Big Mom and Kaido alliance was to find the ancient weapon and the One Piece. In addition, Yonko Kaido planned to make Yamato as the new ruler of the Wano Country.
Upon hearing Kaido’s announcement, Orochi immediately protests about it while telling Kaido that Wano is his land. Orochi wasn’t able to finish what he’s talking about when Kaido surprisingly attacked him and cuts his head off. Right after Kaido shuts Orochi, he offered Orochi’s subordinates to become his underlings or die.
