Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2018 Confirmed Starting on May 19 Through May 25

Adventure Week happened last year is coming back once again in Pokemon GO. In the newsletter sent by Niantic last week, the company announced that the Pokemon GO Adventure Week is coming back this month of May.

In addition to the Adventure Week announcement, Pokemon GO will also have another 2 events this month. Meaning there will be 3 events that will be happening from May 1st until the end of the month.

Here are the confirmed events:

  1. Battle Showdown event on May 1 – May 14
  2. Community Day event featuring Charmander on May 19
  3. Adventure Week 2018 event on May 19 – May 25

The Adventure Week last year started on May 18 through May 25th, but for this year, the event will kick off on May 19th to May 25th. The event will start right after the Community Day event ends.

Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2018 Features

There is still no announced features for this Adventure Week event. But if Niantic follows the features last year, here is what we are going to get:

  • Rock-Type Pokémon Increase spawns
  • 1/4th Buddy Distance
  • Increased items from PokéStops
  • 50% Discount on PokéBalls in store
  • Shinies not yet confirmed

As for the shinies, we still cannot confirm if we’re gonna get some new forms. But looking at the previous discovery of the shiny forms of Generation 1 Rock-type Pokemon in a data mine, there’s a great possibility of getting more shinies.

Rock-type Pokemon Spawn Rate Increase

Since the Adventure Week is likely to increase the spawn rate of Rock-type Pokemon, here’s what we’re gonna get to see and catch during the event week:
