Pokemon GO Field Research Tasks and Encounter Rewards For November 2018

Following the release of Adventure Sync yesterday, Pokemon GO has revealed all the field research tasks and encounter rewards for November 2018.

Throughout the month, Pokemon Go players will have more challenges that they need to complete. Interestingly, the rewards are the all-time gym defender Chansey, Shedinja, and Spinda.

November Field Research Tasks and Rewards

So far, these are the confirmed field research tasks as of writing. This list is subject to change anytime this month, but for now, keep your focus on the missions listed below.


  • Evolve 2 Pidgey – Caterpie (Shiny drop chance)
  • Evolve a Pokemon – Eevee (Shiny drop chance)


  • Hatch an Egg – Exeggcute
  • Hatch 3 Eggs – Magmar
  • Hatch 5 Eggs – Chansey


  • Catch 5 Normal-type Pokemon – Pinsir (Shiny drop chance)
  • Catch 5 Bug-type Pokemon – Nincada
  • Catch 5 Pokemon with Weather Boost – Vulpix or Poliwag
  • Catch 10 Pokemon – Magikarp (Shiny drop chance)
  • Catch a Dragon-type Pokemon – Dratini (Shiny drop chance)


  • Make 3 Nice Curveball Throws – Spinda #7
  • Make 5 Great Throws in a row – Wigglytuff
  • Make 3 Great Throws – Gastly
  • Make 3 Great Throws in a row – Onix
  • Make 5 Nice Throws – Voltorb
  • Make 3 Excellent Throws in a row – Larvitar (Shiny drop chance)

Gym and Raid Battles

  • Win a Raid – Pineco (Shiny drop chance)
  • Battle in a Gym – Mankey
  • Win a Gym Battle – Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle (All with shiny drop chance)
  • Win 3 Gym Battles – Jynx
  • Win 5 Gym Battles – Machop
  • Use a Supereffective Charged Move in 7 Gym Battles – Electabuzz


  • Earn a Candy walking with your buddy Pokemon – Clefable
  • Send 5 Gifts to friends – Golbat
  • Power up Pokemon 5 times – Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle (All with shiny drop chance)

Meanwhile, Pokemon GO players will still have a lot of time to prepare for the upcoming Cyndaquil Community Day. Keep an eye for the Shiny Cyndaquil once the event starts.
