Smartphones have become commonplace in most people’s daily lives, so it becomes very easy to forget the level of engineering complexity involved in building the small device you carry in your pocket. That is why it is always fascinating to check out these phones inside disassembly videos, even more, advanced models like the Zenfone 8 Flip, which you can watch below, in a production from the PBKreviews channel.
While any disassembly video is already interesting, in this case we have a differential that stands out with the device’s Flip camera. As we know, this year Asus decided to launch its high-end devices in two options: a smaller one without articulated cameras and the Zenfone 8 Flip, with its set of three cameras that can turn back and forth, as it happened in the Zenfone 7. We can see in the video the Asus solution to support this large camera module in the body of the device.
But the similarity of the Zenfone 8 Flip with the Zenfone 7 Pro does not stop at the visual. The devices have almost the same specifications, with the main difference being the new Snapdragon 888 processor present in the Zenfone 8 Flip, while its predecessor used a Snapdragon 865+. The SoC model change, however, does not have much impact on how the device is assembled, so the disassembly video of the Zenfone 8 Flip has almost no differences from the same type of video that was made with the Zenfone 7 Pro.
