The episode features another unexpected turn of events for the main characters for the series as they are dealing with Mael, one of the four archangels of the Clan of Goddess.
Following the reveal of Estarossa’s real identity in the last episode, the anime sees how Mael learned the truth about him becoming a member of the Ten Commandments. It turns out that Gowther is responsible for this event.
Upon learning the truth, Mael immediately attacked and pinned down Gowther. After a series of attacks, Mael stopped and asked Gowther for the reason for his action. Gowther revealed that it was done to maintain the balance between the Demons and the Goddesses after Meliodas betrayed the Demons and sided with the Goddesses.
Gowther’s reason was unacceptable for Mael and just before destroying Gowther’s doll, King stepped in to aid his comrade. Sin embargo, King’s power is not enough to take down Mael.
Poco después de, Sariel and Tarmiel decided to help the demons on taking down Mael. Derieri also stepped in to help them and conveyed a plan on how to defeat Mael. Their plan to take down Mael seems to be doing good but while they are still restraining Mael, Tarmiel suddenly stopped using his power.
This event immediately gives Mael the chance to free himself and attacked Derieri. His attack pierces the last heart of Derieri resulting in the death of the character. Al mismo tiempo, Mael took this chance to take and absorb the Commandment of Purity.
Just before absorbing the Commandment of Purity, Tarmiel tried to stop Mael but his words can’t get through the heart and mind of Mael. The 5th episode of The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement sees Elizabeth promising to stop Mael and end the Holy War.
