Can You Recover Deleted Instagram Comments in 2021?

Instagram is undoubtedly one of the most popular social media sites right now. The company has also become the home of well-known artists in the world. Considering the growing community, it’s not surprising to see lots of new features that are being added to the platform.

Recently, Instagram introduced the “Recently Deleted” feature that allows users to recover content and posts that they have deleted from their account within 30 days. Once 30 days have passed, the post will be removed from Instagram permanently.

Given that Instagram has this feature, is it also applicable to the comments? Will you be able to recover deleted comments in your account?

Can You Recover Deleted Instagram Comments?

Yes, you can somehow recover a deleted Instagram comments. However, you can only recover deleted comments for a very limited period of time.

To recover a deleted comments on Instagram, you need to tap the undo button right after you deleted a comment. As of the moment, the comment recovery on Instagram will only be available for 3 seconds after you decided to delete a comment. After 3 seconds, the undo button will disappear and the comment will be gone forever.

Can You Recover Permanently Deleted Instagram Comments?

Unfortunately, Instagram doesn’t allow the recovery of deleted Instagram comments once the 3 second period has passed. If you’re planning to have a backup of the comment before you delete it, the only way to do it is by taking a screenshot of the comments.

Whether you use Instagram on a mobile or desktop PC, you will have the option to take a screenshot of the Instagram platform.

If you’re using an iPhone, you can press the top button and the home button at the same time to take a screenshot. For Android users, each manufacturer will have a different shortcut to take a screenshot of your screen. For example, you can hit the volume down button and power button at the same time to take a screenshot if you’re using a Xiaomi mobile device.
