Misc. Achievements

Say Hello Developers
Find the developers and say hello.

You can earn this during the tutorial. As soon as you start the game, open the first door on your left then stare at the photo to the side of the toilet. You will need your flashlight on for it to register.

FluffyTown Express
Locate FluffyTown.

You can earn this during the tutorial. As soon as you start the game, walk forward and hook a right into the kitchen. Open the door and go downstairs into the basement. As soon as you reach the bottom of the stairs, go right and walk straight until you see a red light. Open the nearby door and walk up to the FuzzyTown poster inside. You will need your flashlight on for it to register.

Vent Master
Use all game vents.

There are 2 vents in total, and you can earn this during the tutorial. This achievement is slightly bugged, as you need to enter the vents from both directions, and having entered the specific room the vent is in.

As soon as you start the game, head upstairs and open the first door on your left to find a girls room. Look to your right to spot vent 1. Take it through to the bathroom, then exit back into the 2F hall. Re-enter the bathroom and take the vent back to the girls room. Now go to the end of the 2F hall and enter the master bedroom. Open the closet across the room and look to your left to spot vent 2. Take it to the master bedroom bath, exit into the master bedroom, then go back into the bathroom and take it the other way.

Batteries Not Included
Complete any level without using your flashlight.

Simply complete any night without activating the flashlight. Night 1 will likely be the easiest.

Quick on the Draw
Flash the Screamer.

Starting from night 5, the Screamer will start spawning alongside another monster. The Screamer is a yellow goat-like monster. You simply need to find it and aim your flashlight at its face before it can scream.

Nightmare Fodder
Succumb to the Nightmare.

Running from Nightmares
Avoid the Nightmare.

In the yard is a small shed where the Nightmare has a random chance of spawning. I couldn’t get this to trigger on any night lower than 7, but it might just not have as high a chance to happen. Either way, keep walking in/out of the basement or garage towards the shed until it does trigger, then either stand to still to die by him, or run away to despawn him and survive.

Avoiding Death
Get to a Safe Zone while being chased.

You can earn this as early as night 1. The easiest way to earn this is to wait upstairs until a monster spots you (the eye turns red). Once they do, run into a vent to escape it.

I Like Watching TV
Watch all TV commercials.

In the 1st floor living room is a TV that will randomly play 1 of 7 commercials when you walk up to it during the main 10 nights. As soon as the commercial starts it will be counted for progress. Note that the TV is not active on nights 4, 8, 9 and 10.

  • A pig mascot dancing with a woman
  • A talking (murderous) llama
  • A dark scene of a creepy face talking to you from the end of a hallway
  • Two women talking in a kitchen
  • An animated cartoon about dancing…ghosts? Or something.
  • An old woman giving birth to monsters
  • A 2D side scrolling version of 123 Slaughter Me Street

Completion Achievements

Story Mode Complete
Complete levels 1-10 in Story mode.

The main game is pretty easy to complete, however I’ve compiled a list of tips, tricks, and hiding locations below for anyone who may be struggling. You can refer to Lights Out Champion for an easy method to clear every night in the game.

Tips/Tricks

  • During the Pre Game phase of each night, I highly recommend opening the garage so you have access to the yard from two directions. This will allow you to loop the house and not get accidentally funneled by a monster.
  • Don’t rush the tutorial. Take the time to learn the layout of the map and where hiding spots and vents are.
  • Your character is heavily asthmatic. Save your sprint for when you really need it!
  • Monsters are blind as ♥♥♥♥. You can easily use a piece of furniture (such as the living room couch) to put a line of sight blocker between you.
  • Monsters are also dumb as ♥♥♥♥. If you’re being chased and get into a hiding spot, they will lose track of you instantly (assuming the eye goes half-full).
  • It’s not immediately obvious, but you can press interact on the 2F balcony railing to drop down to the first floor.
  • The 1F pantry, 2F hall closet, and 2F bathroom shower are all death traps. The monsters can randomly wander in here and kill you.

Hiding Spots

  • 1F bathroom. First door on your left as soon as you load in.
  • 1F study couch. 2nd door on your left as soon as you load in.
  • 1F living room cabinet. It’s directly between the living room and the kitchen. Does not increase the hide bar.
  • 1F laundry.
  • 1F garage. Passenger side of the car.
  • 1F kitchen table. Does not increase the hide bar.
  • 1F kitchen pantry.
  • 2F girl’s room closet. First door on your left.
  • 2F girl’s room/bathroom vent. Does not increase the hide bar.
  • 2F bathroom shower. 2nd door on your left.
  • 2F Hallway closet. 3rd door on your left. Does not increase the hide bar.
  • 2F master bedroom shower.
  • 2F master bedroom shower/closet vent. Does not increase the hide bar.
  • 2F master bedroom closet.
  • Basement top-right corner boxes. On your right as soon as you go down the stairs.
  • Basement bottom-left corner boxes. Directly behind the basement stairs.
  • Yard trash cans. Directly outside the garage.

Note that some of these spots can be a bit finicky, such as the car or the laundry spot. If you crouch outside of their hide zone and then crouch walk into them, it’ll trigger every time.

The Final Countdown
Last five minutes in Survival mode.

You can start this mode after completing the main 10 nights by clicking Play on the main menu and choosing the red “Survival” button (below night 10). Unfortunately, all vents are blocked. The easiest ways I’ve found to do this so far are:

  • Sitting behind the trash cans in the yard. You will need to actively hold down the crouch button for 5 minutes. You will need to actively hold down the crouch button for 5 minutes.
  • Sitting behind the couch in the 1F study.
  • Sitting in the 2F master bedroom closet. Stand all the way in the back with the safe and turn your flashlight off.

After the 5 minutes pass, walk out and let a monster kill you.

Lights Out Champion
Complete all levels in Lights Out mode.

You can start this mode after completing the main 10 nights by clicking Play on the main menu and choosing the black “Lights Out” button (right of night 1). For this mode you will have to revisit all 10 nights, except the maps are extremely dark and there’s no safe hiding spots besides the vents, but the 1F study couch is an extremely good hiding spot as well. In my opinion, this mode is barely any harder than the main game. I personally played this mode backwards, going from night 10-1, and I did every night the exact same way:

  • Run to the laundry. Make sure to shut the door behind you, as that will tell us whether a monster is entering or not.
  • Go to the garage, open the door, then wait by the car for the round to start. Drain the car spot.
  • Enter the laundry room and drain the laundry spot.
  • If the coast is clear, go and drain the 1F study spot. If not, loop through the basement back to the study, then drain it.
  • On night 10 you’ll still need a little bit left, so hit the 1F bathroom.

I had maybe 2-3 runs where I got caught in the laundry room or the 1F bathroom. Using this route is (in my opinion) the easiest method for this mode.

The Collector

The Collector
Collect all tokens.

Hidden around the house are 8 tokens for you to find, and they can only be found on specific nights.

Night 1: From the front door, walk forward and you’ll spot a living room on your left. On the wall opposite the TV is a cabinet you can open with the token inside.

Night 3: As soon as you load in, walk forward and open the cabinet between the living room and the kitchen.

Night 4: This one can be found in the kitchen cabinet underneath the pans hanging on the wall. You’ll easily see the correct cabinet glowing green when you enter the room.

Night 5: This can be easily spotted in the garage, just hanging out in the open.

Night 7: On a shelf in the basement. The shelf is directly outside the room that has the Fuzzytown poster.

Night 8: On a lawn chair in the yard.

Night 9: Run upstairs to the master bedroom and enter the closet. Near the back, next to a guitar, is a small safe you can open with the token inside.

Night 10: In the right-side cabinet of the kitchen island.
