Demons in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba are the mortal enemies of Demon Hunters. In addition to possessing insane strength and endurance, the demons are endowed with the famous Demonic Blood Art, also known as Kekkijutsu, that allows them to use frightening techniques.
But despite being the most influential creatures in the series, some questions about them may be new to some. Muzan Kibutsuji is the main antagonist of the series. Now that the 2nd season of the anime adaptation is just around the corner, we’re here to give you some interesting facts about Muzan Kibutsuji.
Muzan Kibutsuji Virtually Controls All Demon
In the world of Demon Slayer, Muzan is the father of all the demons that already exist. He is the main antagonist in history and his power allows him to create, control, and know where his demons are in real time. But despite being the creator of all evil creatures, Muzan does not necessarily control all demons, since two are out of his reach.
Muzan Controls All Except for Two Demons
The only demons that Muzan doesn’t have the power to influence are Nezuko, Tanjiro’s sister, and Tamayo, his former subordinate. Taking into account that Nezuko never ingested human blood, it is even sensible that it is not controlled by Muzan. However, we do not know why Tamayo is invulnerable to the control of his former boss.
Demons Develop Demonic Art
Demons evolve over time and develop Kekkijutsu, which is, in short, the power that comes from Muzan’s blood. Also, the more experienced the demon, the more developed and powerful their Demonic Art will be in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Muzan’s Power is Derived From a Scientific Experiment
Although it appears to be something even more supernatural, the power that Muzan carries in his body came about because of a medical experiment. In the past, a doctor took care of a man named Muzan, who was ill. In an attempt to save Muzan from death, the doctor prepares a medicine made from the Blue Spider Lily.
However, Muzan became impatient and ended up killing the doctor before he could finish the medication and, as a result, ended up gaining his powers and limitations.
Muzan Regrets Killing His Doctor
Finally, bearing the original demon title, Muzan is really powerful, but he never wanted to be a demon. Muzan comments that if he had been patient, his doctor would have cured him and he would never have become a demon.
