You’re immersed in a relaxing and heartwarming game, yet find yourself struggling to break free from your competitive gamer mindset and resist the urge to tackle every single side mission.
It’s worth making an effort to chat with every character in the game. Not only are they often charming and quirky, but you might also uncover some unexpected existential dread. Plus, some side missions won’t become available until you reach certain milestones in the main storyline, like talking to specific characters or unlocking new regions. So, taking the time to engage with all the characters could unlock some exciting new gameplay opportunities.
Related Achievements
If you want to earn the coveted Town Hero and Completionist achievements, you’ll need to complete all the main and side quests in the game. The key to achieving this is simple: talk to every character you encounter!
To get the Fancy Fluff achievement, you’ll need to complete certain side quests or challenges that reward you with wearable items. While some quests are relatively easy, like fetching items or chatting with NPCs, the Dance Challenge – where you need to beat all Prima Beats dancers – is the most difficult and grants a wearable item.
However, if you’re aiming for the Hero of Thyme achievement, completing side quests isn’t necessary. So if you’re short on time or not interested in completing all the side quests, you can still earn this achievement by focusing on the main storyline.

Post-Credits Side Quests
These side quests only become available after completing the main storyline after the credits. Most are fetch quests with a lot of back and forth (mostly between the park and the town), so I’d recommend talking to all the characters to start the quests before doing them.
