But why would you need these tomes when you can simply level up to acquire skill points? The answer lies in the fact that skill levels max out at 70, so to obtain every single skill point, you’ll require tomes or elixirs. If you aim to achieve the mastery achievements available on Steam, you’ll need all the skill points in every skill. To assist others in this endeavor, I have compiled a comprehensive guide detailing the resources you should start hoarding.
Why is a guide necessary? Can’t I unlock the perks and find the ingredients on my own?
The issue lies in the fact that the ingredients for crafting each tome vary on a daily basis, and you can only create one tome per day. There are numerous potential ingredients for each tome, and they change randomly. I attempted to discern if specific ingredients were tied to certain days of the week, but upon the arrival of a new week, the ingredients differed. Thus, the process is unpredictable.
Does this guide include all possible ingredients for each tome?
Regrettably, not yet. The wiki contains some inaccuracies, such as listing 12 dorado as an ingredient, which has never appeared for me. However, I have observed instances where 10 dorado and 10 duorado were required. Moreover, the wiki fails to mention the quantity required for each ingredient, except for the first one listed, and even that information is incorrect. Therefore, I have prepared a fresh list that is a work in progress. I decided to publish it now and continue editing as I discover more ingredients, enabling you to commence your hoarding. Tomes of Mana
Here are the observed ingredients for mana tomes:
- 999 Stone
- 270 Stone
- 27 Adamant ore
- 24 coal
- 23 coal
- 45 iron ore
- 14 Sapphire
- 18 Gold ore
I have also noticed that skill tomes may require 999 stone. As for the quantity of adamant ore needed for mana tomes, I have seen 27 on multiple occasions, but I am uncertain if it is always the same or subject to change. Similarly, both 23 and 24 coal have been observed as ingredients. The same ambiguity applies to the stone requirements, as mana tomes can either require 999 stone or 270 stone. As I continue to observe the ingredients in the coming weeks, I will update the guide to provide clarity on whether the quantities are fixed or fluctuating.
Tomes of Farming
Fortunately, the ingredients for farming tomes seem to be available in any season. However, acquiring these ingredients will require dedicated effort if you wish to craft the tomes most days. I recommend focusing on crafting tomes after completing the main story of the game on at least one of your characters. This process demands significant time and numerous days to accomplish, so ensure it doesn’t detract from your enjoyment of the story. Of course, how you choose to play is entirely up to you. Here are the ingredients I have observed thus far:
- 999 Stone
- 90 Carrots
- 120 Wheat
- 90 Tomatoes
- 90 Onions
- 80 Lettuce
It is likely that potatoes are also possible ingredients, with a quantity of around 80 or 90, similar to the other crops available in any season. Don’t hesitate to purchase seeds and plant as many as you can, preparing for future needs!
Tomes of Exploration
I am currently grinding for these tomes to complete them as quickly as possible. To facilitate the acquisition of ingredients, I recommend maintaining a large orchard, as it will serve as your primary source for gathering the necessary components. While other forageables may be required at times, having an abundance of fruit will ensure that you can craft the tomes on most days. Based on my findings thus far, the following ingredients are necessary:
- 999 Stone
- 100 Apples
- 80 Strawberries
- 40 Seaweed
- 40 Sand dollars
- 40 Mushrooms
- 600 Wood
- 80 Blueberries
- 100 Oranges
It is reasonable to assume that 80 raspberries and peaches may also be required on certain days. If this assumption holds true, I will update the guide accordingly. Therefore, be sure to hoard all the fruit instead of selling it, particularly if you have already consumed large quantities of each. And don’t forget to clean up those beaches!
Tomes of Mining
Ever wondered what to do with all the excess items you find while mining? Hoard them if they’re not immediately needed! Here are the possible ingredients I have discovered thus far for mining tomes:
- 999 Stone
- 90 Adamant ore
- 60 Coal
- 80 Iron ore
- 50 Sapphires
- 75 Gold ore
I believe it is likely that copper ore may also be an ingredient, possibly requiring a quantity of 75 to 100, based on the other ores. However, this is not confirmed yet, and I will update the guide if I come across it. Additionally, it is possible that other ores and gems could be required, and I will provide updates once I have encountered them.
Tomes of Combat
If you find yourself selling heaps of monster loot with no real use, it’s time to start hoarding. Here are the ingredients I have discovered thus far for crafting tomes of combat:
- 999 Stone
- 80 Bug Shells
- 80 Lightning Bottles
- 80 Hot Sauce
- 80 Prickletot Pears
Bug shells have appeared frequently in my experience, but I am unsure if they are just common ingredients or if I have been lucky. Further information will be added as I gather more details. Happy slaying!

To craft fishing tomes, you’ll need to hoard the following ingredients instead of selling them:
- 999 Stone
- 2 Devilfin
- 10 Dorado AND 10 Duorado
- 20 Sea Bass
