A detailed guide to all achievements, including a map and list of all plants obtainable! Whilst many achievements are simple, having all information in one place can hopefully be useful!
intro & map
I’ve loved my time playing this game and working to 100% it, but noticed that there aren’t a huge range of guides easily available online that go into detail about how to get achievements.
I’ve labelled each achievement with either “progression” or “placing items” as a general indicator of how it can be achieved, either my naturally completing levels in the overworld or by placing specific items/plants to meet criteria.
It’s also worth noting that some incremental achievements have a progress bar visible on steam, which can be useful for tracking how close you are to reaching the criteria (Up, for example, doesn’t specify an actual height, but the steam achievement will show you what % of the criteria your current record stands at). However, please also note that this does not always update in real time, and generally you will need to close the game and wait for steam cloud to update to refresh the numbers (if in creative, I also recommend exiting to the overworld before exiting the game to check on these stats).
I’d also like to note that using the “unlock everything” button in the menu may lock you out of some of these achievements, so you may need to reset if you’ve already used that. I haven’t used it myself so I don’t know!
discovery
Progression – Unlock a new type of seed
The first achievement you’ll get, done by simply opening the crate in Highways 1-5.
big picture
Progression – Go to the the Overworld after completing the first chapter
Achieved after completing the first Highways chapter and viewing the overworld map for the first time.
getting the band back together
Placing items – Use all of the toys in one level
*Can be done in creative mode
This achievement can be done in creative mode, however if already working to complete the overworld you’ll likely achieve it along the way, as there are quite a few levels that will naturally give you all the toys needed.
halfway there
Progression – Finish the Rooftops Chapter
See the map – the rooftops chapter is highlighted in yellow.
green thumb
Progression – Complete the credits scene
See the map – highlighted in white.
master gardener
Progression – Complete every scene on the Overworld
It’s possible to reach the credits scene without completing all scenes/chapters, as there are a few intersections that allow you to take different routes. Again, see the map above to reference what you might have missed.
up
Placing items – Build a very tall contraption
*Can be done in creative mode
The steam progress bar lists “100” as the criteria here, no idea if this correlates to an actual height in-game, but can be useful to reference what your current highest record is before attempting this. Very easily done in creative mode by just stacking large building objects.
overgrowth
Placing items – Grow 120 plants in a single Overworld scene
*Can currently be done in creative mode?
Seemingly broken, as the description specifies the overworld, but it can technically be achieved in creative mode. If done in creative mode, it won’t pop up until you return to the overworld, likely checking for the achievement criteria as you enter the overworld whilst still having the previous creative level loaded.
If this gets patched or you wish to achieve it naturally, I would generally recommend just choosing a large scene and to continue playing the level after the meter reaches 100%, using the rain cloud to help generate seeds and plant as many as you can!
biodiversity (& list of all seeds)
Placing items – Plant one of each seed in a single scene
*Must be done in overworld
This can be done before completing the entire overworld, but at least you’ll need to make sure you’ve unlocked all the seeds, they can be found on the following levels which I have also marked on the map;
- Highways 1-1, Wisteria
- Highways 1-5, Pothos
- Highways 1-8, Monstera
- Highways 1-13, Phradaites (Reed/Grass)
- Junkyard 2-2, Opuntia (Cactus/Prickly Pear)
- Junkyard 2-11, Bryophyta (Moss)
- Rooftops 3-5 (or Greenhouse 4-4), Chestnut/Walnut(?) Tree
- Greenhouse 4-1, Nimbus (rain cloud) – not a seed
- Greenhouse 4-2, Bambus (Bamboo)
- Greenhouse 4-8, Ostreatus (Fungi/Oyster Mushroom)
- Railroads 6-6, Polypod (Fern)
- Railroads 6-9, Salix (Willow) Tree
- Railroads 6-16, Coryphoid (Palm) Tree
- Factory 7-4, Cedrus (Cedar/Pine) Tree

Placing items – Place 30 gnomes in one scene
*Can be done in creative mode
Easily done in creative mode, just place them down anywhere 🙂 I’m unsure if any overworld levels give you this many gnomes.
reforestation
Placing items – Grow 10000 plants in total
*Can be done in creative mode
The rarest achievement which admittedly does take some decent time commitment. Ideally you’ll tackle this last when you have completed the overworld, which will also give you a head start as this counts all seeds planted total.
My own strategy was to use an auto-clicker (some mouses have them built in, otherwise you may need to download one, I use this to save my poor hands! I then built a simple 3×3 platform in creative and spammed bamboo plants. I found bamboo is the best for efficiency as it takes up very little horizontal space, only growing vertically, allowing you to maximise the amount of seeds planted in an area. It can also be planted at a slight angle along the edges of the platform. With the auto-clicker enabled I just needed to move my mouse along the platform, almost like painting, filling up spaces in rows to try and minimise any gaps. There is seemingly an entity limit to the worlds and you may notice at a certain point that the seeds will stop growing/planting even when an open space is available, at this point just pause and reset the level to repeat the process. Filling a 3×3 platform like this was averaging me just under 1000 seeds before the limit was reached, so the achievement can likely be done in less than 10 repeats of this creative world assuming that you have a head start from playing overworld levels.
