Grand Tactician: The Civil War (1861-1865) – How to Save Game Progress

This guide will be showing you how to save your progress in Grand Tactician: The Civil War (1861-1865). If you’re one of the players who want to make sure that everything is going according to plan, this one is for you.

How to Save Game Progress

Any time during the game, campaign, or battle, you may open the main menu by clicking on the menu button at the top right of the screen, next to the compass, or using Grand Tactician: The Civil War (1861-1865) hotkey Esc and save the game. Click Save in the main menu and a save panel will appear. You may create a new save, or overwrite an old one by selecting it. When selecting an existing save, you may also delete it using the trash can button in the bottom right. Clicking Save at the bottom creates a new save file.

Note that you can load a game only in the scenario selection screen. Anyway, here’s additional detail about game saves:

  • Autosave are marked with the “gears” icon to make them stand out from your own saves.
  • Battle saves during a campaign are marked with the “sabers” icon.
