In this guide, I will be explaining how to get the ‘Ascension’ achievement, or how to progress with the Church of Husk.
Book of Chalices: On becoming a Herald of the Tide
The first encounter
The first time your going to meet them is gonna be a random event.
You will either:
A. Find a person convulsing and given the option to help them out in the Church of Husk base
B. Find them running through the outpost, and the Eccalist asks you what the thee metamorphoses are.
You will get the other one once you complete the current one you’re doing.
When encountering Event A, you will be given the option to pass them a Calyxanide syringe, do that.
When encountering Event B, you will need to answer “The Chalice of Stale Wine”.
The second encounter
After you successfully finish one of the situations above and gained some reputation from it, you will need to head up to the Church of Husk base. And there is a chance of a Cultist asking you to bring a ‘Dozen vials of Husk eggs” or something along the lines of that.
You can get them by doing husk related missions, or hunt husked creatures yourself, you can also get them by Beacon stations, whenever you activate a beacon, there is a chance for Husked humanoids to spawn outside the sub and attack once you leave the station.
or
You can get them with the ‘Improved Husks’ mod, which have missions that vanilla game doesn’t have.
The second encounter: Completion
You can go to any outpost (make sure they have the Church of Husk instead of clowns), and go to the Husk base, if you cant find the person to deliver the eggs to, leave the station and dock again, this has a chance of spawning the eccalist.
After you deliver the eggs, you will be asked a couple of questions to officially confirm your recruitment to the Church of Husk you must answer yes to all the questions you’ve been given by the Eccalist, you will be given the following: Cultist Robes, Book of Chalices: On becoming herald of the tide.
