How to Get 660 Points with a Single Tile Placement in Dorfromantik

This guide contains tips to get Analyst VI achievement.

Intro

To get the Analyst VI achievement you need to collect 660 points with a single tile placement.

But before that, you must have the Analyst Challenge unlocked (Menu → Achievements → Analyst). In the game, in the Achievements tab, it is written what you need to do to unlock more Challenges.

Let’s look at some examples first, and then I’ll go into more detail on tips for getting Analyst VI achievement.

Examples of getting Analyst VI

One way to get it is to place one perfect tile (60 points) and complete 6 quests at the same time (100 points per quest multiplied by 6 = 600 points). I prefer to combine forest quests because they are always ‘+’ type quests (requiring you to collect more forest than the specified amount).

Sometimes you may get quests with a flag that will get you even more points, but this guide is not mainly focused on them. Because it is not always possible to close the forest by adding one tile (therefore, points for closing the quest with the flag are not taken into account here).

Here is an example of this idea (6 quests and one perfect tile).

The picture shows the use of quest tile as a perfect tile. This one quest fails, but the other 6 are completed. An interesting point, I don’t know why I got 2440 – 1720 = 720 points, although I had to get 660 (6 quests and one perfect tile). Perhaps this is a bug where points for perfect tiles were duplicated.

Note: As it turned out, it’s not a bug it’s a feature. I got 10 for 6 sides and another 60 for the Perfect tile. Still, even taking this into account, the minimum number of quests should be 6, since 5 quests are not enough (500 + 60 + 60 = 620 < 660). Although if the neighboring tiles are also perfect, then this is possible. Let’s look at an example with a perfect tile on the side below.

Not everything always goes as planned, but there may be various cases in which you can get more than 660 points. In this case, it didn’t work out the way I planned, but having the perfect tile on the side rather than around the forest quests allowed me to get 4310 – 3600 = 710 points (6 quests, 50 for tile placement and 60 for the perfect tile on the side).

On practice, it is not always possible to perform this method; it took me a lot of attempts. So I thought about improving this method. 7 quests. In this case, you don’t have to wait for the perfect tile to complete them. The seventh quest, if it is appeared, can be placed on the side but so that the remaining quests are not completed.

Completing 7 quests without a perfect tile. Got 5000 – 4250 = 750 points (7 quests and 50 score for tile).

The more quests you place, the greater chance that you will be able to score the required number of points, even if some of the quests fail. In this example, 4620 – 3880 = 740 points received (7 quests and 40 points per tile).

General Tips

So we looked at various examples. Let’s look at general tips for getting this achievement.

Think around which tile you will collect for the forest quest. In my case, this is the tile on the top right. Therefore, you need to position the forest so that it touches this tile.

Don’t complete forest quests prematurely. You need to place 6 quests (or more) around this tile. I got the second quest for 5+ trees. Look how I positioned this tile so that it doesn’t connect with the first quest (so as not to complete it), but the forest looks at the spot of the future the perfect tile.

Do not connect the rest of the forest (which is not a quest). If you connect the remaining tiles of the forest with each other, then you will be given quests with a larger forest (the game looks at the largest open forest and adds a certain number to it). As a result, you may get something like this

If I place the quest forest in the center, then I will not complete all 6 quests. In this case, you can try to place the quest tile on the side and play through 7 quests, but

  1. You may not have anywhere to place such a quest tile
  2. You might not get a quest tile, but a regular tile surrounded by a forest. And in this situation with its help you would not be able to get 660 points.

Well, you can play through 7 quests, but I recommend first place 6 quests around one tile (you may add another quest later). Suddenly you will get an ordinary tile surrounded by a forest and you can get an achievement. Or it may not ever appear, depending on your luck.

You need to survive long enough to get the forest quests. Use different methods at your discretion:

  1. Complete non-forest quests
  2. Close non-forest flag quests – complete them to get 5 tiles
  3. Go to the pre-installed quest tiles (if you build long in one direction, they will appear)
  4. Perfect tiles (give +1 tile)

I repeat once again that it is better not to connect non-quest forests with each other. Otherwise, you may not be able to complete 6 quests at the same time due to the large number of trees required.

One more thing, the forest quest tile sometimes appear very quickly (5-7 first tiles). Does it make sense to start a new game if it doesn’t drop out right away? I don’t know, maybe yes. But I definitely started a new game if at first I came across railway roads and water tiles that prevented me from building normally.

In one of the examples, what saved me was that I got the perfect tile on the side, and not where I planned, it might make sense to build fields around these forest tiles to get the perfect tiles on the side. This can help you get an achievement.

If at any point you think you can get more than 660 points when placing a tile, then instead of counting those points, try placing a tile. If you don’t get the achievement, then cancel your move and wait for a more successful tile.

I repeat that in practice it is not always possible to perform this method (6 or 7 quests); it took me a lot of attempts. The good news is that you will only need to get 660 points or more once to get the achievement (I did it many times to talk about different cases and nuances). I wish you patience and good luck in getting this achievement.
