How to Uncap FPS in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

This guide describes how to limit your FPS as there is currently no in-game option.

Find the GameUserSettings.ini file

In order to cap your FPS, you have to change a number in the game user settings file. By default, the file is located at:

“C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Local\BBQGame\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini”.

To find this file, follow these steps:

  1. Press Win + R
  2. Search for %localappdata%
  3. Go to BBQGame > Saved > Config > WindowsClient
  4. Open the “GameUserSettings.ini” with Editor (or something similar)

Change the FPS limit

Once you opened the file, search for the line beginning with “FrameRateLimit”. By default, it’s set to 0.

Change the number to whatever you want your limit to be (e.g. 60) and save the file.

Now your FPS should be capped.
