How to Unlock All Character Costumes in Dead Estate

Costumes are alternative outfits for each character in Dead Estate. Each Costume is tied to an in-game Achievement, and collecting all 8 gives the Achievement “Costume Party”. Currently only B Costumes and C Costumes exist.

Jeff

Jeff’s default costume gives him a green trucker cap, a green coat and a dark brown t-shirt with blue trousers and red boots.

Jeff’s B Costume turns him into a garden gnome with a light blue shirt, pointy red hat, and blush on his cheeks. His size is also altered in cutscenes, though in-game his sprite is the same size as the other characters.

This Costume is unlocked by clearing Dark Mood Woods as Jeff on Painful difficulty or above. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Dwarf”.

Jeff’s C Costume turns him into a younger version of himself, wearing a red letterman’s jacket with a blue shirt under it, black pants, and red shoes. He is skinnier in his sprites, in-game and in both ending cutscenes.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Jeff on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Youngin”.

Jules

Jules’s deault costume gives her a pink bra, black nails, cuffs around her wrists, and yoga pants.

Jules’ B Costume gives her an orange sleeveless sweater with a red scarf, a green skirt, and changes her hairstyle. It’s designed after Ashley Graham from Resident Evil 4, with the name “Ballistic Jules” coming from how Ashley’s breasts are referred to as “Ballistics”.

This Costume is unlocked by defeating Chunks as Jules in under 1 minute. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The President’s Daughter”.

Jules’ C Costume gives her blue shorts, a matching buttoned shirt, white ankle boots, and a loose red jacket. It’s designed after Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Jules on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Bounty Hunter”.

Cordelia

Cordelia’s deault costume gives her a tight-fitting black dress and arm-warmers.

Cordelia’s B Costume gives her a purple dress, a purple graduation cap, and changes her hairstyle. She also appears to have lost some weight, with her face and body being noticeably thinner than normal.

This Costume is unlocked by beating the True Ending as every character, which can be tracked by a gold ring around each character on the select screen. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Scholar”.

Cordelia’s C Costume gives her a red hat, dress, and lipstick. It’s designed after Alcina Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Cordelia on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Countess”.

Fuji

Fuji’s deault costume gives her a pink leotard along with her signature pink and white mask.

Fuji’s B Costume gives her a white business shirt with a yellow tie, light gray business pants, and replaces her mask with a pair of glasses. It’s designed after Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

This Costume is unlocked by knocking out Chunks on on all 4 main floors in one run. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Candidate”.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Fuji on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Wrestler”.

BOSS

BOSS’ deault costume gives her an inmate outfit tied around her waist and bandages wrapped around her chest and her right eye

BOSS’ B Costume gives her the inmate outfit that she usually has tied around her waist, a black eyepatch covering her right eye and removes the bandages wrapped around her chest and right eye.

The Costume is unlocked by defeating a Boss in under 10 seconds. Completing it unlocks the achievement: “The Inmate”.

BOSS’ C Costume gives her a green military suit, a black eyepatch covering her right eye and a green hairband. It’s designed after Solid Snake from the Metal Gear series.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as BOSS on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Legend”.

Luis

Luis’ deault costume gives him a yellow button-up shirt with a gray suit overtop and gray dress pants.

Luis’ B Costume greatly changes how he looks, giving him armor, black hair, and red sunglasses. It’s designed after Stan from the upcoming game Nightmare Cops.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a Looped run as Luis without picking up a single heart. Other healing methods such as Ambrosia are permitted. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Nightmare Cop”.

Luis’ C Costume gives him a brown blazer with a red turtleneck sweater underneath it, black pants and shoes, and slick back hair with a shaven face.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Luis on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Detective”.

Mumba

Mumba’s deault costume gives him his signature white blob skin.

Mumba’s B Costume gives him pink skin and turns his head and body into large mouths full of sharp teeth. It’s loosely based on Horror from Nuclear Throne.

This Costume is unlocked by reaching the Exit Realm as Mumba on Painful difficulty or above. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Abomination”.

Mumba’s C Costume turns him into a brown bear.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Mumba on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Critter”.

Lydia

Lydia’s deault costume gives her a blue buisness suit with her long brown hair.

Lydia’s B Costume gives her a yellow jumpsuit with black stripes and changes her hair into a ponytail. It’s designed after The Bride from Kill Bill.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run as Lydia without breaking any Pots. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Assassin”.

Lydia’s C Costume gives her grey hair, bra, and gloves, an open pink hooded jacket and shoes, and sunglasses on her head. It’s designed after Mariah from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Lydia on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Magnet”.

Digby

Digby’s deault costume gives him unkempt reddish-brown hair, wearing a tan boyscout uniform with a red ascot, brown shorts and red shoes.

Digby’s B Costume gives him a white t-shirt, blue hair, and a red hat and backpack. It’s designed after Boyfriend from Friday Night Funkin’.

The Costume is unlocked by finding and destroying an arcade machine in the Attic Sanctum. This machine appears in a special room that only appears when playing as Digby, similar to the room Mumba is unlocked in. Completing it unlocks the achievement: “The Funkhead”.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Digby on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Supernatural”.

Axel

Axel’s deault costume gives him blond wavy hair and yellow shades. He has a shirtless leather jack, with his bare chest being visible as well as (fake) abs.

Axel’s B Costume gives him black hair, with a red and black jacket/shirt and black fingerless gloves. It’s designed after Travis Touchdown from the No More Heroes series.

The Costume is unlocked by picking up a Laser Blade as Axel. Completing it unlocks the achievement: “The Crownless King”.

Axel’s C Costume gives him a white business shirt as well as a blue suit jacket and red tie. It’s designed after Reigen Arataka from the Mob Psycho series.

This Costume is unlocked by completing a run with every individual Curse enabled as Axel on any difficulty. Completing it unlocks the Achievement “The Teacher”.
