The restocker NPC are there, but at last actual they have problems. They can’t store boxes from the street in the storage and they waste storage space with many half empty boxes, because of the “Last in, firstout” function of the shelfes. I would like to show you how I do the restock faster and more efficient, without any shelfes and workers.
As soon the restockers can sort in boxes from the street so the half empty box is the first box you take or the function the restockers just start if the shop shelf has enough free space to empty a complete box, this guide is maybe not longer necessary.
The Storage
My Storage is like you can see it in the Picture here, with one Box per Item, sorted after Box Size.
The Bxes are open so I can see how many Items are left in the Box.
This Boxes are very important for the restocking and you should always keep at last one Box with at last one Item inside, up to a full Box.
The Sorting
OK lets say, your Shop has closed for the Day and your Shelves are looking random like this:
Now you grab the Box from the Storage and start to sort the Shelf.
Completa il 8 Slots of the Shelf from Top to Bottom until you are not able to completly fill a Slot.
It should now look like this:
If the Box for the Storage would be empty after completing the last possible Slot without buying new Boxes, keep a full Box for the next Day.
The Restock
After ending the Day, your Shelfes should look like this:
Set the changed Prices the Game has told you on the Screen.
I always set them 30 Cent above the Shop Price and remove the single Cents.
Mean if a Product cost 3,64 Money as recomended Shop Price, I made 3,90 Money as my Price.
The removeal of the single Cents are realy recomended, because it save you much Time at the Register (if you run it yourself) and it reduce the chance Customers not like the Price (there are always some).
Now look in the Rows of the Shelfes they should be sorted in a way so you never have something left in a new Box after refilling the Shelf.
The empty Slots tell you exactly how many Boxes you need to order to completly fill the Shelf.
Keep in Mind some Boxes fill 2 Slots like Coke or Clean Dish.
Here as Example are one Box of red and 2 Boxes of blue Flour missing.
Like this you can see with a short Look what you are need without guessing it in a unsorted Shelf.
Go to the Computer and add what you need until you reach 9-10 Boxes, then buy them.
do that with all Shelfes.
After that go out and bring in the Boxes.
You will always have an empty Box after filling the last Slot and you can’t oversee an empty Spot on a Shelf if you have sorted them properly before.
After all Boxes are gone, check the Shelfes if you have ordered enough and all Slots are full.
If there are open Slots, order some more.
If you have order one or more to much, put it in the Storage under the open Box.
A final Tip
Some of the Boxes not realy show if theres something left inside when cary the Box, like Milk.
A Box has a Picture of the Product on the Box, this can help you.
After you have restock a Shelf and you are not sure the Box is empty, click the full Shelf.
If it say the Shelf is full you still have Items in the Box.
Another option is to close the Lid of the Box with “C”.
The Image will disapear if the box is empty.
Actual theres a Problem with not corectly closed Lids, so the Picture is clipping mostly in the Box Lid, but its still partial visible.
Hopefull the Dev will fix that Problem soon.
