NBA 2K22 – How to Alley-Oop Dunk With Dunk Meter

NBA 2K22 brings a lot of changes to the game. Unlike the previous franchise, there are some more twists when performing an alley-oop in NBA 2K22. If you’re one of the players who are still confused with the new dunk meter appearing on top of the player, here’s a breakdown on how to properly use it.

How to Alley-Oop in NBA 2K22

In NBA 2K22, you will have to time your alley-oops. Throwing alley-oops in NBA 2K22 is the same as the previous installment. Just double-tap the triangle button (for PlayStation) or double-tap the Y button (for Xbox). Once your player throws the ball, you will soon see a scrub popup and all you have to do is time it.

As you can see on the screenshot above, the square icon with a green indicator is the receiver and you have to time it for the player to jump and receive the alley-oop pass. Again, simply double-tab the triangle button or Y button to make a regular alley-oop.

In addition, you can also force a bounce pass alley-oop in NBA 2K22 by pressing the X and Circle button (for PlayStation) or the A and B button (for Xbox).
