The reason why you have messed up, lose, and long-loading textures, is that they are throttling textures to save framerate.
It works by predicting where you are going and loads textures accordingly, then immediately drops textures that aren’t needed.
This is precisely what Ominis’ wand does for him: Helps him to slightly see and guides him to places.

Just stop playing Ominis as the main character, he is blind and obviously, he has sight issues.
You are accidentally using his character. What you are seeing, is what he sees from his eyes.
Switch back to your character and you won’t have graphics problems anymore.
