Red Dead Redemption 2 is not only about the western cowboy themed game. It is also full of hidden mysteries that are being slowly discovered by fans. One of this new discovery is the vampire lurking in Saint Denis.
If you’re curious and wondering how to find the vampire, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you out. But before you start, please be reminded that this guide contains some spoilers of the game.
Where to Find the Vampire in RDR 2
For you to find the vampire in Saint Denis, you need to acquire the five writings in different locations around the area. Finding the first writing will lead you to another clue that will finally lead you to the vampire.
Vampire Scrawling Clue #1
The first vampire clue is written on the wall of the General Store in Saint Denis. Go to the southern part of the store, and you will find a white written clue on the wooden wall. Inspect the wall and then proceed to the next clue.
Vampire Scrawling Clue #2
After getting the first clue, head to the gunsmith located in the heart of Saint Denis. Behind the store, find the alley and walk until you see some doors. From there, you will find another writing on the wall. Inspect the writings and proceed to the third clue.
Vampire Scrawling Clue #3
Go to the pinpoint map above. You will see a courtyard with a tree in the center. Find the archers with metal doors and go to the passage under that doors. Proceed until you find a chair beside some crates and barrels. Above the chair, you will find some writings of the vampire leading you to the fourth clue.
Vampire Scrawling Clue #4
Head to the southern part of the Trapper. When you see the market, turn right and you will find some metal railings and gate. You will also see some crates and barrels on the area, and just above the broken crate in the north wall, you will find the final clue leading to the vampire’s final victim.
Vampire Scrawling Clue #5
Now, after inspecting the 4th clue, head to the northeast until you reach the Saloon. When you reached the saloon, find the red brick building on the southern part of the map. You will find the last clue beside the entrance of the building.
Interact with this final clue and a star will be drawn from all the coordinates where you find all the clues in your journal. Wait for a few days and make sure its night time to get in touch with the vampire.
Fighting and Killing the Vampire
Now that you already have the coordinates and it’s already night time, head to the church in Saint Denis. On the alley on the south wall of the church, you will see the vampire killing someone. There are times that the vampire may not appear, this usually happens when there are a lot of kids around.
Unlike the hunters in Red Dead Redemption 2, this vampire is on a different level when it comes to dealing damage. It can kill you from a single knife attack. If you managed to kill the vampire, you’ll get batwing and stringy meat. You can also keep the silver knife that you can use in the future if there’s another vampire appearance.
