Ritual Tournament Achievement Walkthrough Guide

This might be the only achievement guide ever made for this game! I just completed all 30 achievements in one day, so this guide is your best bet to getting 100% completion for Ritual Tournament.

General

Welcome to the one, and possibly ONLY, achievement guide for Ritual Tournament!

I’m not going to waste a lot of time saying how this game leaves a lot to be desired. If you have gone through the trouble of purchasing Ritual Tournament, you are going to want to unlock all 30 achievements. Having just completed this game 100% at the time of writing this guide, I will tell you how to unlock everything in one sitting (less than 2 hours).

Here are a few things to note before starting the game:

1. The controls are not properly assigned. I played this on a Steam Deck and it was impossible to get past the title screen. I was able to figure out that the proper keys are UIJ, and K. If you’re using a Steam Deck or a controller, you’ll want to configure the 4 face buttons to these keys as they are your two punches and two kicks. Don’t worry about which punch or kick is low or high. If you’re just going for 100% completion, you’re not going to even be using these buttons. You only need to get the U key assigned to one of your face buttons because that key acts as the confirmation button when selecting Arcade Mode.

2. The two actions you’ll mainly be using are Ki and Sacrifice. Ki is tied to the F key and Sacrifice to the G key. You’ll want to assign both of these to either the tab buttons or triggers.

3. All of the achievements can be unlocked while playing on Easy difficulty. The only achievement that is tied to Hard difficult is “Very good! But brick not hit back!”

4. Every fighter has a projectile that you’ll be spamming to get through every match as fast as possible. Check the image below to know how to perform said projectile moves.

With all this in mind, LET’S GO!

Victory Achievements

All 8 of these achievements are tied to simply winning one match with each character. Keep in mind that you must NOT perform a Sacrifice move at the end of the second/final match. Even though you’re technically winning, the game won’t count it as a win if it’s a sacrifice. Simply knock out your opponent for it to count as a win. The best way to get through matches is to spam projectiles at your opponent.

Sacrifice Achievements

All 8 of these achievements require you to perform a sacrifice with each character.

A sacrifice can only be performed at the end of the second/final round when your opponent has only a sliver of health left. You have to be close enough to your opponent so that when you press the Sacrifice button (G key) it’ll activate.

Sacrifices are Ritual Tournament’s equivalent of a fatality.

Ending Achievements

8 of these achievements simply require you to finish Arcade Mode with each individual character.

NOTE: In order to view a character’s ending, you MUST perform at least 4 Sacrifices during your playthrough.

Once you perform 4 Sacrifices, you’ll face the game’s Final Boss: Shinshira Satame.

Simply defeat her and you’ll view your character’s ending, which consists of a single panel with some very small and mostly illegible text.

Reach Nagisa Ending

The following 2 achievements will unlock depending on whether or not you performed at least 4 Sacrifices during your playthrough.

No Ritual For You

Reach the Alternative Ending

To reach this ending, simply DO NOT perform any Sacrifices during your playthrough. After the 8th stage, the credits will simply roll and you will NOT face the final boss: Shinshira Satame. NOTE: if you try to get this alternative ending, bear in mind that you will not view your character’s ending, so I recommend that you go for this achievement once you obtain all character endings.

Intentions Revealed

You did exactly what she wanted

To obtain this achievement, you MUST perform at least 4 Sacrifices during your playthrough. If you do so, after the 8th stage you’ll fight the game’s final boss: Shinshira Satame. Simply defeat her and the achievement will unlock.

Miscellaneous Achievements

Say My Name!

Watch the Credits

This will unlock when you finish Arcade Mode for the very first time. The credits take less than 5 seconds to roll.

“Very good! But brick not hit back!”

Finish the game on Hard Difficulty (any ending)

This is easier than it looks. If you’ve been playing on Easy for all the other achievements, you won’t really notice much of a difference. The only two things I noticed were; (1) that the opponents were more prone to firing projectiles but if you stick to spamming projectiles, you’ll knock out your opponents much faster, and (2) it won’t be so easy to perform Sacrifices on your opponents since they’ll continuously hit you. I’m not saying it’s impossible to perform a Sacrifice, but you’re better off spamming projectiles and doing this achievement at the very end.

“Matte!”

Reach the Game Over Screen

Simply allow yourself to get knocked out during the first fight. (I didn’t even have to try for this one because I got it on my very first fight while trying to figure out the controls and hitboxes.)

A Game of Shadows

We know you are eager to spill some blood

This might be the trickiest achievement, but only because it’s a secret achievement and it’s not very descriptive in its name. To unlock this, you’ll notice that during the loading screens between stages (when it says “X” Vs. “Y”) there are two small silhouettes at the bottom of the screen. You’ll realize that these symbolize your upcoming match and you can control one of them. All you have to do is attack your opponent’s shadow and it’ll unlock. The hits won’t register, so just make sure you’re right next to the opponent’s shadow. This might be the only time you’ll actually use the punch and kick buttons, so just mash all four buttons!
