This guide will be covering how you can join the Dark Brotherhood in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Also, we will be detailing the steps on how you can destroy the organization in the game.

How to Join the Dark Brotherhood
First, you need to go Windhelm city. When we are at the gate of the city of Windhelm, first we go to the right and then to the left we see a woman and a child.
There will be a door on the left of that boy and woman. Then we have to open the door with a lockpick, talk to the boy inside the house and take the mission from him. Our task is to kill the grumpy woman who runs the orphanage in the Riften.
After going to the orphanage in Riften kill the marked woman and get your reward from the boy in the Windhelm. A few days later courier (letterman) gives you an unknown letter not knowing who it came from (don’t worry the courier will find you automatically).
If you sleep in the inn or home after the letter, you will wake up in a hut. The woman named Astrid tells you that you have to kill 3 people in front of her. If you kill those three people and talk to Astrid, you are now a dark brotherhood assassin. Then you can continue with is Dark brotherhood missions.
