Upload Simulator Silicon Achievements Walkthrough Guide

Simple guide with tips for completing all Steam achievements in Upload Simulator 2: Silicon.

Welcome

Hi! This is a basic guide to completing 100% of achievements for Upload Simulator 2: Silicon. This guide is by no means exhaustive, but is how I personally completed all of the game, and wanted to share what I learned since there is no other English language guide available yet. I welcome any comments with additions or tips that might help other players complete these achievements quicker. Thanks for reading, and happy achievement hunting!

PART 1: A-L

247

Avoid 5 disconnections in a row

Either complete 5 disconnection pop-up events, or avoid them entirely by clicking the on-screen plug artifact or using an auto-click module, hack, or robot.

Absolute Zero

Reach 0K temperature

Lower your overclocking temperature to at least 0K (-273.1°C) using either Steam Engines or Dilution Refrigerators.

Endgame

Perform a T4 reboot

Work your way through the Technologies tree until you reach the ability to complete a Tier 4 reboot.

Faster than Light

Upgrade to a Data Entangloporter

Automatically unlocked by upgrading the Network component to the “Data Entagloporter” level.

Field Scientist

Complete a grid without getting a single void field

Unlocked by clicking to unlock the modifier upgrades that are directly touching other upgrades, without having to click on any empty fields. Unfortunately this one is down to RNG based on the placement of upgrades on the Void Field grid – but becomes a lot easier to unlock in the end game with multiple field manipulator robot upgrades and repeat reboots.

Fine Craftsmanship

Craft a grade S module

After unlocking the ability to create modules, you can improve their grade by “remaking” using PCBs, ranked F through S, with S being the highest grade. The grade you receive is luck-based, so having a higher luck % will increase your chances of receiving higher tiers of module, but which grade you receive is RNG and may take many rerolls.

For Science!

Get a virus

Click on any virus artifact. If you have a fully upgraded Antivirus, viruses will not spawn, but this can be undone by either resetting your upgrades using the Upgrade Refund in the Shop tab, or by installing the Infected Charger module temporarily.

Grand Automation

Have over 1000 active robots

Endgame achievement that is easily unlocked after T4 reboot, but can be completed any time after achieving level 2000 if you use the Upgrade Refund in the Shop tab to regain all your spent points (2000 points are required to purchase 1000 robots).

Hackerman

Unlock all hacks

Simply purchase every single hack in the Hacks tab (via the Lightning Bolt symbol in the bottom right corner). They do not need to be upgraded to count towards this achievement, only purchased. You will need 16 hacking points to purchase all hacks. Hacking points are earned by using hacks – it is easiest to gain them by setting one or several hacks to be automated by upgrading them, though you will need to balance this alongside your battery recharge speed. I typically automate Augment, Quicken, Overcharge, or Scan, but your playstyle may vary.

Innovator

Reboot for the first time

Reboot for the first time using the Reboot button on the Research tab.

Laplace’s Demon

Become omniscient

Unlock the final technology at the top of the Technologies tree for the first time, “completing” the main game and unlocking New Game+. NOTE: Currently (as of Feb 17 2024 at time of writing) there is game breaking bug where trying to trigger the endgame cutscene crashes the game for some players. This can be counteracted by turning off all robots, automatic hacks, and active uploads before clicking to unlock the final technology.

PART 2: M-Z

Mom Get the Camera!

Have an artifact hit the corner of the screen

More or less RNG, will happen eventually particularly if you have modules, hacks, perks etc which increase luck, artifact duplication or duration. Your chance of this can be increased by turning off autoclickers.

Monumental Breakthrough

Perform a T3 reboot

Self-explanatory, simply unlock via climbing up the technologies tree until you unlock the ability to complete a T3 reboot on the Research tab.

Overpowered

Have more battery recharge than battery capacity

You will need to activate bonuses that grant battery recharge and deactivate those which grant battery capacity. Be mindful of any installed modules which grant increased battery capacity as a randomly generated secondary or tertiary characteristic and consider uninstalling them temporarily.
Battery recharge boosts:

• Hacks: Recharge (200% battery recharge when pressed, can be automated)
• Talents: Battery Voltage (20% per upgrade, up to 100%). If you have Battery Capacity upgraded, this can be undone via the Upgrade Refund item in the Shop tab.
• Modules: Quick Charge (up to 50% battery recharge), Hack Equalizer (20% for each unused hack slot).
• Perks: Frenzy (50% battery recharge)
• Artifacts (RNG): Some clickable artifacts give a battery recharge bonus for a limited time.

Pointless Effort

Expand all fields in a single grid

Click to unlock every single field in a Void grid before resetting, including the empty ones. This is easiest to achieve in the endgame when Void points are easy to obtain, but be sure to temporarily turn off any Field Manipulator robots because they will automatically reset the field when all upgrades are completed.

Procrastinator

Have 10 artifacts on the screen at the same time

Easiest to complete after T3 by using the Duping and Sustain Perks, alongside the modules Nanoscopic Lens module (100% Luck) or Nano-Lens (50% luck), and Reveal hack.

Prodigious

Spend at least 5 hack points on a single hack

Simply spend 5 hack points upgrading any singular hack, by improving power, efficiency, and auto.

Quick Thinker

Reconnect under 3 seconds after being disconnected

Complete a Disconnect pop up challenge (flipping switches, submitting a 4 digit code, or completing a math puzzle) within 3 seconds. If you have an autoclicker module or robot installed, you will need to temporarily turn them off so that you can “fail” to click the disconnect artifact and trigger the event.

Royal

Upload all requests

This will likely be the last achievement you will need to unlock to receive 100% completion, because it is entirely down to RNG. You will need to upload 100% of each category of upload: Images, Music, Video, Games & Special Requests. Requests that are new to you will have a “NEW” tag appended to their name while they are being uploaded. You can check your progress using the Statistics screen in the burger menu in the top left of the game. The 100 Special Requests is the part of this achievement that will take the longest to complete. These are received via clickable artifacts, and their presence is boosted by having a higher luck score, which can be increased using the modules Nanoscopic Lens (which will require battery balancing with modules or hacks) or Nano-Lens, plus luck Upgrades and the Reveal hack. However, you will unavoidably receive many duplicates Special Requests. You can either choose to complete the dupe requests, or dismiss them via closing them out (the x in the top right corner of that particular upload box). If you have all of your upload slots filled, you can only receive a single Special Request at a time, but if you have multiple slots open, you can receive 1 Special Request + however many slots you have open (ie, if you have 2 empty upload slots, you can receive up to 3 Special Requests at once). This can greatly increase your odds of receiving a “NEW” tagged request. After T4, you will likely have enough upload speed to be able to remove all normal uploads and simply wait for Special Requests to appear, resetting when speed becomes slow.

Specialty

Have over 1000 module score

You will require at least 5 module slots in order to complete this achievement, which can be achieved using a combination of the Module Specialization from the Technologies tree and purchasing 3/3 of the Module Slots in the Upgrades menu. You will need to equip 5 modules, and Remake those modules using PCBs until you manage to get all five to Grade B or above (ideally Grade A or S). Each Grade B module will grant you 200 score. The Grade you receive is RNG, but is luck based and can be improved by spending points on the Luck upgrade and installing the Nanoscopic Lens or Nano-Lens modules.

System Cleansing

Eliminate 100 viruses

Easiest to complete in an idle fashion by using the Eliminator virus autoclicking module, and will eventually by automatically unlocked during normal gameplay, but can be sped up by increasing your virus chance with the Infected Charger module. NOTE: If you have the Antivirus from the Upgrade menu, viruses will not spawn – this can be counteracted by using Refund Upgrades from the Shop tab, or by installing the Infected Charger module.

Variety Uploader

Have equals amount of images, musics, videos and games uploaded

You can view your total completed requests in the statistics menu, and it is a matter of monitoring each until the numbers are balanced. If you are starting on a fresh install or deleted save data, you can complete this easily by just uploading one of each at a time until you have 1/100 of images, music, videos, and games. Personally, I unlocked this by accident just by having one of each type uploading and getting lucky with the “NEW” requests vs duplicates. However, this will also be achieved automatically when you have 100/100 of each upload completed in the endgame, so you are likely to achieve it when you near the end of the technology tree regardless.

Visionary Breakthrough

Perform a T2 reboot

Simply climb the Technology tree until you unlock the ability to complete a Tier 2 Reboot.
