What to expect in Vinland Saga Episode 24?

The final episode highlights Askeladd’s death. The previous episode ended him facing the King. Askeladd tried to convince King Swayne not to attack Wales while hiding his intention to protect the land. However, King Swayne already knows his background and insulted the country that pissed him off. The king also bargained to bring Canute’s head in exchange for not attacking Wales.
Askeladd stands up and insulted the King while drawing his sword. The King warned him to put his sword away but instead of following the king, Askeladd cut his head. Askeladd looked at Canute like he was conveying something. Canute got the message and took action by asking the soldiers inside the hall to take Askaledd down.
A bloody fight just happened inside the hall and while everyone is panicking, Thorfinn jumps off towards Askeladd. Askeladd stopped him and while doing that, Canute stabbed him on his chest. Canute is about to fall down too, but Thorkell told him to stand up as this was made for him.
Thorfinn stands up and attacked Prince Canute right after he talked with Askeladd. Thorkell stopped Thorfinn and the soldiers immediately tried to attack him but Canute stopped them. The prince picked up and wore the crown and took command of the army of his father.
