Technically, Koji Kashin is one of the newest characters introduced in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga series by Ukyo Kodachi. While he’s a clone of Jiraiya, he’s ability is exceptional.
In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 48 manga, we’ve got to see some of Koji’s power and abilities. While Jiraiya is also strong when he’s alive, what are the odds that his clone is better than him?
Koji Kashin is a clone
I know it’s not fair to compare which one of the two characters is more superior. However, being a clone has several advantages. Of course, the clone can acquire the same ability as the original but it can also learn and improve new techniques that are useful in battles.
Koji Kashin can use Sage mode perfectly
Being a clone means the actual body has been modified. Not just a simple modification but also improved its weaknesses.
In my opinion, Koji Kashin will dominate Jiraiya. One of the best reasons is that Koji can use the Sage mode perfectly. With Koji Kashin’s Sage Mode, he can perfectly balance the chakra and natural energy.
Unlike Jiraiya, he still needs some help from his frogs to use it. Also, Jiraiya’s Sage mode is still not perfect. As for Kashin Koji, he can use it without any help.
The head-to-head match against Isshiki Otsutsuki
Please note that Isshiki Otsutsuki is considered as the strongest character right now in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Isshiki is also the leader of the secret organization known as Kara.
Obviously, we can already tell that Isshiki is much stronger than Pain. Even without his true form, he can easily match against Naruto and Sasuke.

While Boruto Chapter 48 sees that Koji did not win against Isshiki, he still managed to survive, showcasing his ability to escape. During his fight, he also used new techniques that Jiraiya didn’t possess.
