All Compatible Devices for Apple’s macOS Big Sur

During the WWDC Keynote today, Apple has unveiled the newest operating system for the company’s next-generation macOS. As seen on the preview on the event, Apple has named the new OS as macOS Big Sur featuring the redesigned interface.

If you’re a long-time Mac user, you will immediately spot the changes in the Dock and Notification Center on your screen. There are also some additions to the Control Center and several changes to the Messages, Safari browser, and more. As for the mac browser, the new Safari 14 will now support WebP image format

Starting today, June 22nd, Apple is opening the line to any of its Apple developers users who are willing to test the beta version of the OS. Interested users can now register and get ready for the public beta starting in July 2020.

As announced, the new software update will be rolled out to all of its users with compatible devices. Below is the complete list of Mac devices that can install and use the new macOS Big Sur.

  • Mac Pro 2013 or later
  • MacBook Air 2013 or later
  • Late MacBook Pro 2013 or later
  • iMac 2014 or later
  • MacBook 2015 or later
  • iMac Pro 2017 or later

Meanwhile, devices including the 2012 MacBook Air, Mac Mini and more.
