Desynced – 4 Automated Bots for Exploration and Offense

A team of 4 different bot types with different setups to explore and attack stuff in the world of Desynced

Hound Commander

This is the main unit that guides the rest of the team, it searches for bugs,hives and aliën structures because they often are used as a spawn point for bug attack waves (when bugs are set to agressive)

It gets its information from the mounted radar and uses this as its program:

At the last section of this program you need to add an item that changes in numbers alot and find a number that often is above or below your inventory number to randomize the pathing of the commander, this might need some experimenting to find a number that works or the bot will make the same moves in day and night time and thus not move over the whole map.

The “store” tab is set to one of the medics, so that the code checks if it does not drift too far from the rest of the team.

Medic Hound

The Medic tries to stay close to the commander and provides the energy grid the whole team uses, it checks for the health of all other team members and tries to heal them using this code;

The P1 position of the behaviour controller is set to the commander! click> world > select commander unit.

Attack Hound

The attack hounds follow the medics using this code;

And the signal reader is linked to the crosshair of the weapon, the signal is read from the commander!

Virus Doctor

This unit tries to undo virusses on its team members and tries to get the small infected bot removed(wich doesnt work yet)

But it does remove virusses in most cases from the team members, but this is a W.I.P. for sure!

In case your team is affected by the virus, you might have to click the Small Infected Bot manually.

P1 of the behaviour controller is set to the medic, and the signal reader is set to the commander.

make sure you have the items in the bots inventory too!

In most situations the bot acts like a normal Attack Hound, and only when a virus is discouverd in the team or in the world it will change the components to the needed one from the inventory.

Team setup

This is how the units are linked to each other,

You have 1 commander, 3 medics, 12 attackers and 1 virus doctor.

Going for more attackers will get your team stuck in the world alot because of blocking the commanders path too often, using less than 12 attackers gets you killed! you need at least this much to survive most bug encounters.

The 3 medics follow the commander as close as possible, and each medic has 4 attackers folowing it, this setup worked best for me during testing.

The whole team can be linked with the ctrl+ a number, but my advice is to not include the commander.

This way when the commander gets stuck in a dead end or near a plateau wall you can easally send the rest of the team away a bit to clear the commanders path, wich will resume its normal programming.

Disclaimer!

I have never programmed before playing this game, so the codes might seem silly for experianced programmers.

I do have 250+ hours playtime in this game, and this is the best setup I could come up with so far, all through alot of experimenting (and failing)

I have not found a way to avoid the Gigakaiju monster, so be prepaired to reload your last save game when your team runs into one of them and you notice too late( as Ive experianced quite alot too)

I hope people enjoy this setup, but there are no guaranties for succes, for its all early acces/ expirimental/ with no previous programming experiance..
