Elderand Beginner’s Gold Farming Guide

An Elderand Guide for the best and quickest ways of obtaining large amounts of gold in a short amount of time. This guide also covers the unlockable achievement “Thinking Ahead”.

Introduction

Preface

I will try to do my best and explain the best possible ways of obtaining large amounts of gold drops in Elderand, I would also like to note that the ways that I will present in this guide have been discovered by my personal playthrough of the game and i am not completely 100% sure if this is the only method of getting large amounts of gold.

I will go over the following :

  • Locations
  • Different Vases
  • Most Gold per Vase Demolishion
  • Weapons/Rings that increase drops
  • Ways to get certain gold boosters

Locations

From what I’ve discovered, only two locations have the most gold per room visit in Elderand and only those two are the ones that are the most efficient to spam.

Mid-Game

Location :  Sanctuary of the First

From the Bonfire point, go straight left until you reach a elevator that goes downwards, and from that point follow the left path downwards until you reach the following area. There will be a special door you can go through using the relic

Fragment of Haduk’maala, The Timeless Mirror.

*Basically in this area, you can rush in spamming your dash button and dodging the spikes that are gradually descending towards your character and clearing out all the vases as you progress, note that the most efficient way to cover this area is if you are in possession of either Getzansu, the Skycutter (Sword) or Torturer’s Embrace (Armor) which I will cover on how to find them in the upcoming segments of the guide. For large increase in gold drop per vase and per run, you will need to have the Golden Alliance Ring equiped, also covered later on in the guide.

All estimations of gold drops will be very roughly denoted.

Gold per Vase: 1 – 15 gold

Gold per Run: 70 – 140 gold

Gold per Run with Enhancements: 180 – 300 gold

Drops: Small Health potion, Small Mana potion, Wooden Arrow, Knife, Axe, Bomb.

This is the second best alternative i’ve found, hence the reason why I’ve stated it’s for Mid-Game, and not everything is available.

Late-Game

Location:  Akr-Sharrak, The Sanctuary of the Tryrant Hope

At the highest point of the map there is a bonfire from which you can continue down to the elevator and progress straight right, continue dashing forward until you see a hook on screen, proceed to hook jump to the platform that is leading towards the Final Boss Dan’Nuhrr.

Here you will find 6 vases that have the most gold drop then any other vase in the game, therefore be sure to have the enhanments equiped before farming, to get the most gold as possible.

Gold per Vase: 1 – 35 gold

Gold per Run: 70 – 180 gold

Gold per Run with Enhancements: 280 – 550 gold

Drops: Large Health potion, Large Mana potion, Diamond Arrow, Knife, Axe, Bomb.

Enhancements

These are all Optional but have a bigger impact on gold drop and time consumption per run.

Weapons

Slash Vases when Dashing Forwards

In order to get this sword, you must kill Hungry Abyss, who is located in Omulore, The Ruined City, the fastest way to get him to drop Getzansu is if you have Sumptuous Ring (*Increases Drop Chance*).

Armors

To find this armor you must go to Delinquent’s Breach and visit the area i’ve circled in the following image:

Rings

If you want to obtain the Sumptuous Ring, you must perform a ritual located in Sanctuary of the First, visit this location circled on the map as shown here:

If you want to obtain the Golden Alliance Ring, you must open a chest located in Omolure, The Ruined City, visit this location circled on the map as shown here:

Thinking Ahead Achievement

Finally, all there is left to do is grind out 30k gold. Throughout the game you will probably already claim half the achievement, therefore just follow either one of the two locations i’ve pointed out in this guide and you will be good to go.
