Following the Pokemon poll that was set up last month as part of the Pokemon Day 2020 celebration, The Pokemon Company has announced the most popular Pokemon of the year.
According to the official tally, Greninja, a Water/Dark-type Pokemon introduced in Generation VI, was the most favorite Pokemon of 2020. Greninja defeats the Pokemon from Generation IV which is Lucario.
It’s actually not surprising to see Greninja winning the number 1 spot. Thanks to the Pokemon anime where Ash used Greninja during the Kalos League. Meanwhile, the adorable and electrifying Pikachu didn’t manage to enter the top 10 list. But no need to be sad Pikachu fans because Pikachu got the 4th spot as the most popular Pokemon from the Kanto region.
