How to Get All Endings in Afterimage

This guide will be showing you the steps on how to get all endings in Afterimage.

The Homecoming

“Where is my mind?”

PREREQUISITES
N/A

STEPS

1. First, make your way to the Sunken Sanctum.
2. Once there, locate the Key to God’s Hall.
3. Use the key to unlock the pathway leading to God’s Hall.
4. Continue along the path until you reach a device that you can interact with.
5. Select the “Investigate this ancient device.” option.
6. Finally, defeat Guider, the Shadow Moon to complete the level.

The Cradle

“Down in a hall and I don’t know if I can be saved.”

PREREQUISITES:

• You must possess at least one memory shard.

STEPS:

1. Head to the Sunken Sanctum.
2. Find the Key to God’s Hall.
3. Unlock the path to God’s Hall using the key.
4. Continue through the level until you find an interactive device.
5. Choose between the “Put in ONE Memory Shard.” or “Put in TWO Memory Shards.” options.
6. Finally, defeat Guider, the Shadow Moon to successfully complete the level.

The Essential

“Along the Tablet, seared by fate.”

PREREQUISITES:

• You must possess all three memory shards.

STEPS:

1. Head to the Sunken Sanctum.
2. Find the Key to God’s Hall.
3. Unlock the path to God’s Hall using the key.
4. Continue through the level until you find an interactive device.
5. Choose the “Put in THREE Memory Shards.” option.
6. Defeat Guider, the Shadow Moon.
7. Finally, defeat Renee to successfully complete the level.

The Withering

“…the hardest part of this is leaving you.”

PREREQUISITES

• Defeat both Pyro Goliaths (Agus in Scorchwhere and Aqil in Field of Pyro).
• Own at least 8 different Primeval Glyphs.

STEPS

1. Go to the Field of Pyro and find the hidden room to the right of Aqil’s boss area. Inside, interact with an egg.
2. Choose the “Let’s begin, Ifree” option.

The Hope

“This fire is out of control…”

PREREQUISITES

• You must have defeated both Pyro Goliaths, Agus in Scorchwhere and Aqil in Field of Pyro.

STEPS

1. Head to the Field of Pyro and locate the concealed area situated to the right of Aqil’s boss location. In this room, you will find an egg that can be interacted with.
2. Choose the option “Invade.”
3. Continuously hit the egg until Ifree becomes hostile.
4. Defeat Ifree to complete the task.

The Journey

“We’re out on the road again.”

PREREQUISITES

• You must have defeated both Pyro Goliaths, Agus in Scorchwhere, and Aqil in Field of Pyro.
• You need to possess a minimum of 8 distinct Primeval Glyphs.

STEPS

1. Proceed to the Field of Pyro and locate the concealed area located to the right of Aqil’s boss location. Once you’re inside, you can interact with an egg.
2. Choose the “Invade” option.
3. Continuously hit the egg until Ifree speaks twice. He will give two sets of dialogues, and you should stop hitting the egg after the second one to avoid making Ifree hostile.
4. Exit the area by using a Resting Potion or going back to the main menu.
5. Return to the concealed area where the egg is located.

The Waiting

“Engardin is doomed and there’s nothing I can do.”

PREREQUISITES

• You must have unlocked NG+ by obtaining both Essential and Withering/Journey endings. NG+ consists of ten short chapters where you play as a different character.

STEPS

1. Play through NG+ until you reach the conclusion of Chapter 10.
2. During the end of Chapter 10, you will confront Eseus, the Transcendent.
3. Defeat Eseus, the Transcendent to complete the task.

The World Flower

“Shine on, you crazy flower.”

PREREQUISITES

• You must have achieved “The Waiting” ending.
• You need to possess Sword of the Lake, which can be obtained by finding all Stream Crystals and interacting with the sword to the left of the Heart of Veins teleporter Confluence.
• You must possess Halo of Genesis, which can be obtained by reaching a certain character level (likely 80), speaking with the giant tortoise at Forest Foregone, and interacting with the object adjacent to the yellow echo on top of it.
• You must possess Nuo’s Mask Afterimage, which requires completing steps 1-4 and obtaining all five mask fragments before speaking with Hydro Goliath at Field of Hydro.

STEPS

1. Proceed to the Albedo Tower and enter the portal that was previously inaccessible to reach the Nigredo Tower (the same portal used to progress through Chapter 10 in NG+).
2. Invade and defeat Karin, the Occult Prime.
3. Interact with 42’s body, but you won’t be able to enter her soulfield yet.
4. Speak with Owl at the Holy Grounds.
5. Complete prerequisite 4.
6. Now, you can interact with 42’s body and enter her soulfield.
7. Defeat Eseus, the Eternal.
8. As 42, defeat Eseus, the Transcendent.
9. Defeat Eseus, the Eternal once again.

The Dream

“Sweet dreams… are made of this?”

PREREQUISITES

• Have NG+ unlocked. (To unlock NG+, you need to get both Essential & Withering/Journey endings, NG+ consists of short 10 chapters where you play as a different character.)

STEPS

1. Enter Chapter 10 from NG+ and head to the left instead of invading Karin. Interact with the Mirror to seek Otmeus’ aid.
2. Choose the “Yes….” option.
3. Defeat the Unstoppable Devil.

The Wall

“Red phone or blue phone?”

PREREQUISITES

• Own Key of Se. (Obtained by talking to Se, the fairy at Halcyon Veins’s Cave of Lure, after finding all Shenlong Glyphs.)

STEPS

1. Head to the dock located at the far east of Silent Coast and find the boat there.
2. Hit the lantern on the boat to turn off the light.
3. Wait for the boat to ride into a purple mist that will appear shortly after turning off the lantern. Wait for around 5 minutes.
4. Hit the boat’s row again to continue the ride.
5. You will arrive at a different location where you can find Se. Inside the cabin to the left of the area, interact with the telephone.
