So you wanted to be a stealth archer…
As someone who was an Argonian stealth archer in a past life, I understand the deep and neverending need to play the shooty pewpew class.
While Enshrouded has plenty to do, you may have found a lot of your time taken up by storming around the map, furiously ripping bushes out of the ground with your bare hands screaming “WHY DO I NEED SO MANY TWIGS?! I CAN BRAID PLANT FIBRE FOR STRING WHY CAN’T I JUST WHITTLE TWIGS FROM WOOD?!?” I feel your pain. I love Enshrouded but found a lot of my time being taken up farming resources for arrows, and by resources I mean TWIGS.
I spent time noseying around map AND the internet to find other, potentially less painful methods of getting twigs, so you don’t have to!
Method 1: Yeeting bushes out of the ground
AKA the pain method. Yank these bushes for a twig and some plant fibre.
Method 2: Planting Shrub Seedlings
This method is available once you’ve unlocked the Farmer, Emily. She’s the 3rd NPC you can potentially unlock, so not too far in but still technically locked earlyearly game.
You’ll need to make Shrub Seedlings in a Seedbed, then plant them in Farm Soil.
They’ll take five minutes to grow and you’ll want to plant as many as possible so you can harvest them en masse, as they only drop one twig each (and 2 plant fibre which you’ll be drowning in already).
Method 3: Pickaxing animal dens
I only realised this was possible thanks to this Reddit post, as it’s not intuitive to gather wood resources with a pickaxe! If you have the basic pickaxe, maybe take more than one with you for the bigger dens so you don’t have to worry about going back and forth for resources.
You can mine a large number of twigs from one small location using this method and it’s far quicker than running around pulling bushes up. Just mine the twigs inside the dens with the pickaxe!

Method 4: Chop down hazelnut trees
Hazelnut trees drop anywhere between 3 and 6 twigs and often spawn in clusters. A great place to farm them is at Diadwyn, which is to the West of the Revelwood spire (it’s reachable by glider if you jump off the west side of the tower). There’s also plenty of other small saplings in this area that drop a lot of twigs too!
