How To Make A Bomb in the In Stars And Time

All 3 (important) Bomb ingredient locations in a simple-to-understand guide!

Introduction

So you wanna make a bomb that you’ve heard your party members talking about oh so often, and use it against the King. Simple, right?

See, that’s what I thought, until I spent half my playtime searching the entire House up and down and finding nothing, when both optional ingredients are really easy to find. Insultingly easy.

I’m going to assume that you already know what you need: a long thingy-thing, a short gizmo-gadget, and a secret ingredient. The short gizmo-gadget is a freebie, so we’re going to skip over it. Loop can tell you where it is anyway if you forgot.

Be warned, though, that one of these ingredients is in Dormont, so be prepared to re-apply any boosts and bonuses you may want for exploring the House.

Long Thingy-Thing

Speaking of the one in Dormont, the long thingy-thing!

Remember where you met up with Bonnie? The thingy-thing is just north of there, in the house the blind man stands next to. It’s locked with a word lock but you have the openphrase (“Change”) by default.

Once you enter the blind man’s house, just interact with the letter on top of a barrel to get the Long Thingy-thing.

Secret Ingredient

The Secret Ingredient is in the House, but it’s not exactly easy to loop to. It’s after the 3rd Floor’s boss, but before the King. Simply interact with the frozen person in the halls on the way to the king to get the Secret Ingredient.

(To be clear, a cutscene will play when you see this person. Watching the cutscene doesn’t count, obviously; you MUST interact with them after the cutscene is over and you regain control.)

How to Use It

Once you have all three ingredients, interact with one of them to craft the bomb (each ingredient goes with your Souvenirs).

When crafted, the Bomb will go into your Pockets, and you’ll gain the Memory Of Bomb so you don’t have to go through this whole song and dance again.

Keep in mind that the Bomb won’t automatically be used in the King fight. You must use a turn to throw it at him.
