How to Manage Your Inventory in For The King II

We’re thrilled to unveil the amazing new gear and consumables that will be available in For The King 2. However, before you set out on your adventure, it’s essential to master inventory management. Join us as we explore some of the best strategies for managing your treasure!

Introduction to Inventory Management

Greetings and welcome to another guide, brought to you by IronOak Games! We are thrilled to help you prepare for the release of For The King 2 later this year. In the meantime, please remember to add the game to your wishlist and sign up for our Closed Beta running from May 10th to May 16th.

There is nothing quite like the excitement of carrying a backpack filled with the most valuable treasures found throughout the Fahrul lands. However, no adventurer worth their salt would venture out unprepared, especially when it comes to protecting their precious loot.

In For The King 2, we have intensified the thrill of exploring crypts, castles, caves, and even sewers by including an abundance of gold, riches, cosmetics, and much more. Not every item, however, needs to break the bank… Well, figuratively speaking, although sometimes literally, as is the case with flaming swords.

For The King 2 offers an array of new possibilities with character traits, battle grid, mercs, and more. This opens up an opportunity for you to experiment with various builds.

Do you enjoy being on the front line? Then you should consider trying the Blacksmith. But, let’s say you stumble upon a magical staff with enormous power, perfect for backline damage. As tempting as it may be to keep it for yourself, it might be better to let a Scholar, who specializes in magical arts, wield it instead, granting them new abilities.

The key to a successful party is cooperation, and adventurers who are willing to share their wealth with their comrades will have a better chance of defeating the nefarious forces of the Queen. With a range of specialties and builds available, it is essential to share your gear with your fellow adventurers.

Not only will you gain the satisfaction of assisting your friends, but you’ll also improve your odds of winning. Keep in mind that selfishness is not a desirable trait in a hero.

Sharing is Caring

If you want to trade gear with your party members, you can do so by accessing your inventory through the Bag Icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen or by using the “I” key.

To transfer an item to a specific party member, right-click on the item and select the party member’s name from the prompt that appears. If the party member’s name is grayed out, it means that they are too far away to receive the item.

If a party member is too far away to receive an item, you can resolve this by moving to the hex directly next to them or by forming a daisy chain. This means that your party members can pass the item along to the correct person automatically if they are standing adjacent to each other in a chain.

This trading method can also be used to exchange gold. At present, you will need to move the slider to adjust the amount given, but we are working on a more efficient system for organizing this in future development.

Inventory

Your inventory in For the King 2 serves not only as a storage for your collected items but also as your equipment hub, where you can see your currently equipped gear and any other gear and consumables that you have picked up.

When you find new equipment, you will be prompted to equip it immediately using a handy equipment comparison tool. However, if you prefer to keep an item in your inventory instead of equipping it right away, you can do so and decide what to do with it later.

You can also access your Quick Inventory in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, which displays your consumables for easy access. To interact with an item, simply left-click on its icon or hover your mouse over it to see its description. Items in the Quick Inventory can be helpful in combat, so it’s important to keep an eye on this panel.

We are continually working to improve this feature, including adding a method to scroll through consumables once all initial slots have been filled, to make it even more accessible for players.

Now that you have a better understanding of For The King 2’s inventory and equipment system, you’re ready to start collecting all the treasures you can find! Just remember, sharing is caring and working together with your party members is the key to success in this game.
