How to Prevent Lost Progress/Account Rollbacks in Combat Master

To those whom it may concern, the Discord staff team has been recently dealing with tickets regarding players logging into their friend’s account and/or sharing accounts and being unable to log out. We would like to clarify that there is currently no log out feature, so once you log in to someone’s account, it will merge that data and wipe your profile from your device & cloud. There is no fix for this, and we do not offer account restoration at the moment as the developers are currently busy and the Discord staff team is limited to Discord moderation. If this has happened to you or your friend, the only way to get the account off your device is deleting the account on one device while the other has the game currently running to prevent permanent deletion of the account. Refunding purchases is an option through the settings in iOS, otherwise contact your respective app store regarding refunds. This information should be shared to anyone who it may affect, to avoid more issues in the future.

Recently, the Discord staff team has been stressing all users to be careful regarding account rollbacks. This is still the case, but we have found a solution to half the problem–preventing the rollback. While the Discord staff team cannot restore any accounts that have been rolled back due to device switches, we now have a solution to making sure that the issue does not occur again as long as you’re careful. I would like to give a special shoutout to the YouTuber Daddyezee, who has made a video that I’ll be linking following this message. He explains the issue and solution, and it’s very informative. Here is the link and the solution in words:

This video linked above describes and poses a solution to preventing rollbacks. If you cannot watch the video, here’s a brief rundown:

The issue occurs if you do not have the two devices (the one with old data [old data device] and the one with the data you want to save [new data device]) logged into Combat Master and in the main menu. More than two devices linked need to be handled even more carefully.

With both devices in Combat Master, use the Save to Cloud feature (on the new data device) in the Account subsection of the settings to save the data to the cloud. Exit out of Combat Master on the old data device and re-login with it. Keep the new data device open through this process.

After a few seconds of logging in with the old data device, it should be updated to the new data device’s data. The best way to check this is via player level, loadout equips, loadout levels, battle pass level, or any other indicators of rolled back data. Please be sure to double check everything.

You may now exit out of the new data device and play on the “old data” device that now has updated data. Repeat the process again if you need to play on the other device. Keeping Combat Master up on any device forever would keep the data up for saving until it crashes or is exited.

The Discord staff team would like to thank you for your patience with this issue. We understand that it is a critical error and hence why we are very adamant on pinging and making the community aware of it. This will likely be the last everyone ping regarding this issue unless a fix for restoring progress is found. Community updates will receive the majority of the pings afterward. Thank you, and stay safe soldiers!
