Hulu has announced that premium users can now download movies and TV shows into your devices and watch it offline.
Following the steps of several streaming services, Hulu will now allow subscribed users (no ads plan) to download their favorite movies and tv series to their devices. The new feature is called “Downloads” and it is now live for iOS devices, and soon to Android.
With this new feature, premium Hulu users can now watch the downloaded movies and tv shows whenever and wherever they want without consuming internet data.
To download a show, all you need to do is go to “See What’s Downloadable” and you can look through the videos in the library. You can also perform a search and you will be seeing a download icon right next to the title. You can watch the downloaded videos from the “Downloads” tab that you can find at the bottom of your screen.
While this is a good feature for Hulu users, there’s a limitation to it. As revealed from the official blog post, you can only download up to 25 titles across 5 different devices. The downloaded videos will be automatically removed from the Downloads tab after 30 days. In addition, all videos that are watched will be removed from the Downloads tab after 2 days.
Can’t find the new Hulu feature in your device? Make sure that you update the app from the App Store.
