Cooking is not available until later in the DEMO, when you reach ‘Where We Live’.
In the DEMO you can currently find, get for completing quests, or buy from vendors 12 types of ingredients for cooking. The cooking menu shows slots for 16 ingredient types, but not all of them are available in standard gameplay. Some ingredients outside the basic pool may be obtainable in areas that should not normally be available to the player during DEMO.
Based on these ingredients, you can prepare 17 different meals that give you different, additional bonuses.
Some recipes require very specific ingredients, others only require ingredients from one of the four groups:
- Filler
- Flavor Bomb
- Vending Juice
- Military Supply
If only two ingredient groups are listed in a recipe, it means that you can use them in any 2-to-1 ratio. You can use any ingredient from that group.

In the screenshot, 13 ingredients are visible. This is because ‘Coconut Milk’ is not available in the DEMO as part of normal gameplay. However, you can get it by going to an area that in theory should not be available to players. It is also possible to find the other two ingredients this way, but I haven’t found a way to do this yet.
